On the afternoon of November 8, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union jointly organized a national conference to honor outstanding farmer members in the movement to protect national security for the 2019-2024 period.
Overview of the National Conference to honor outstanding farmer members in the movement to protect national security for the period 2019 - 2024 held at the Great Hall, headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security (Hanoi).
Attending the conference were comrade Le Quoc Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Central Steering Committee for "Implementing the movement for the whole people to protect the security of the Fatherland"; comrade Luong Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and representatives of ministries, departments and branches. In particular, the conference was also attended by 62 collectives and 80 individuals who are outstanding cadres and farmer members in implementing the movement for the whole people to protect the security of the Fatherland, period 2019-2024.
Comrade Luong Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and Comrade Le Quoc Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security spoke at the conference.
Over the past 5 years, cadres and farmer members have provided the police and local authorities with 369,287 valuable sources of information; participated in detecting, denouncing, and preventing 66,434 cases of law violations; successfully reconciled thousands of conflicts and disputes among farmers; and helped and supported vocational training and job creation for 21,050 people who had made mistakes and reintegrated into the community.
At the conference, delegates who are members and typical farmers in the movement of the whole people to protect and secure the Fatherland shared very practical stories from daily life with practical experiences that contributed significantly to the work of ensuring security and order and maintaining peace in the locality.
Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Luong Quoc Doan and Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quoc Hung presented commemorative medals and certificates of merit to officials of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Ministry of Public Security.
