In our province, one of the typical examples of clean production is that the province has attracted investment in 56 renewable energy projects with a total capacity of nearly 3,500 MW. This result has greatly contributed to the growth of the province, and at the same time is a lever to promote the province's economic development, putting Ninh Thuan in the group of localities with the highest economic growth rate in the country in recent years.

From 2018 to present, science and technology (S&T) activities to promote the development of green, clean, and environmentally friendly production have also been of interest to sectors, levels, and the business community. Dozens of S&T research topics and tasks on improving the capacity to manage emissions into the environment from production have been effectively implemented. For example, the pilot project on using LED lights to replace traditional light sources in seafood fishing has contributed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The Department of Science and Technology has a S&T support program for enterprises, with priority given to enterprises aiming to develop production in a green, clean, and environmentally friendly direction. Typically, support for the development of GAP production processes; patent protection for unsorted waste treatment lines. The unit has also organized 12 training courses on improving productivity and quality of traceability of products and goods. Conduct surveys and organize implementation at a number of enterprises in the province to deploy the application of 5S productivity and quality improvement tools; build an environmental management system according to ISO 1400: 2015; apply a quality management system according to ISO 9001: 2015.

To continue developing green, clean, and environmentally friendly production, the Provincial People's Committee has proposed solutions to promote digital transformation, apply advanced and modern science and technology in environmental management and protection, and adapt to climate change. Encourage businesses to invest in improving and innovating equipment and technology, and producing new products in the direction of reducing pollution emissions and being environmentally friendly.

The province has also directed the relevant departments to evaluate, appraise and select modern and advanced technologies, on that basis, apply them appropriately to the development conditions of Ninh Thuan. Create conditions and support enterprises to transfer, innovate and perfect modern, smart, fuel-saving and environmentally friendly technologies; apply technology transfer in the province's key industries such as renewable energy industry. Research and apply processes and techniques for cultivation in greenhouses, net houses, irrigation automation, soil preparation, fertilization combined with environmental treatment, waste, and eco-tourism. Support enterprises to apply traceability systems for products and goods, apply Good Agricultural Practices; organic production.

To increase resources to carry out the above tasks, the Provincial People's Committee has proposed the Ministry of Science and Technology to support the implementation of 4 national-level science and technology tasks under the National Program to support enterprises in improving productivity and quality of products and goods, period 2021-2030. Specifically, support the construction and application of advanced quality management systems for enterprises in the field of food production and processing; expand the application of product traceability, apply Good Agricultural Practices for the province's specific agricultural products; improve the competitiveness of craft village enterprises through the application of green productivity solutions; survey the current situation, advise on the development of continuous business plans to prevent risks according to ISO 22301 standards.
