After more than 1 year of rapid construction, on July 28, Quang Ninh province organized the installation of a sign to mark the completion of the project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 342 connecting Ha Long - Ba Che - Lang Son.

The project started construction in early 2023 with a total investment of more than 800 billion VND. The starting point connects with Ky Thuong commune, Ha Long city at Km37+500, provincial road 342. The end point connects with Bac Lang commune, Dinh Lap district, Lang Son province at Km58+405.

The route is designed according to the mountain level III standard with 2 lanes, 20.9 km long, 9 m wide. The contractor will widen and reduce the slope, and cut curves based on the old route. Along the route, there are 4 bridges: Thac Da, Thac Cha, Khe Lu, Khe Lao and 1 level crossing with Provincial Road 330.

The project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 342 connecting Ha Long - Ba Che - Lang Son initially forms a continuous road corridor between Ha Long City, Ba Che District (Quang Ninh Province) and the two provinces of Lang Son and Bac Giang. Thereby, it helps to significantly reduce the distance and travel time from Ha Long to Lang Son and vice versa.

Thanks to the high concentration of mobilization and propaganda, the site clearance of the entire project was completed in just 15 days. Thereby, creating favorable conditions for the investor and contractor to implement the project according to schedule and plan.

The project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 342 connecting Ha Long - Ba Che - Lang Son was marked with a sign to celebrate the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Ninh province, term 2024-2029, taking place on July 30 and 31, 2024.
