Rashford will be available for Man Utd's Premier League clash with Wolves on Tuesday morning after a frank conversation with Ten Hag over his alleged transgressions last week.

According to sources close to Man Utd, Rashford partied last Thursday in Belfast. His excessive partying meant Rashford was unable to attend Man Utd's training sessions on Friday and Saturday in preparation for Sunday's FA Cup match against Newport County.

The English striker was immediately dropped from the Man Utd squad, with Ten Hag's side progressing with a 4-2 away win. Despite the disciplinary action, Rashford was only fined two weeks' wages. There were reports that the English striker was sent to separate training sessions, but in fact Rashford returned to training with his teammates on Monday.

There have been comparisons between Rashford and Sancho. The England midfielder was left out of Ten Hag's squad for the match against Arsenal last September. Sancho then took to social media to refute Ten Hag's comments, with the Dutchman telling an interviewer that Sancho was not fit enough to play.

For this reason, Man Utd disciplined Sancho, demanding that he make a public apology, but the midfielder did not do so. After that, Sancho was forced to train alone for more than four months, and in early January he was pushed to his old team Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the season.

Ten Hag said Man Utd dealt with the two players' violations differently because they had different reactions to the issues. Ten Hag said: "We could have sorted things out internally, but Sancho chose to go public."

"First of all, players at this level need to manage themselves, that's what we can ask of players, they have to know what's good and what's not good. When you want to play top football, you need a lifestyle with certain rules. Always."

Rashford and Sancho are not the only ones to have broken Ten Hag's strict rules.

The Dutch tactician fell out with Cristiano Ronaldo before the Portuguese player terminated his contract with Man Utd and moved to Al Nassr, Ten Hag also disciplined Alejandro Garnacho. However, Ten Hag insisted that he was not at Man Utd to look after the players.

"It's not like that. We're talking about top footballers," the Dutch tactician continued. "I don't need to educate them anymore. When they play for Man Utd, they know what to do."
