The goal at the end of the first half was the basis for Man Utd to continue playing defensive counter-attacks in the second half of the match. The home team created more chances. However, Man Utd's strikers still showed weakness in finishing.

The home side's best chance came from Joshua Zirkzee's close-range effort, but the Dutch striker failed to backheel the ball straight at the goalkeeper.

Zirkzee's replacement, Rasmus Hojlund, was no better. The striker missed two clear chances, including one where he was too slow to react despite having a good space and allowed an Arsenal player to back off and clear the ball just before he could take a shot.

Meanwhile, Arsenal went all out in attack and were forced to play more adventurously, accepting the risk of counterattacks from their opponents. The away team's strikerless attack was still as deadlocked as in previous matches.

However, like Man Utd, the Gunners have a player who can shine at the right time. After his teammate's failed attempt to dribble the ball, Declan Rice quickly took a tricky shot that defeated the Man Utd goalkeeper. This was the goal that sealed the 1-1 draw.
