To do that, we will actively seek naturalized players and players with dual nationality (overseas Vietnamese). This is the trend of continental and global football. To further enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese football, we will have to follow the trend.”

In fact, French-blooded left-back Jason Pendant Quang Vinh recently acquired Vietnamese citizenship. His father is French and his mother is Vietnamese. Jason Pendant Quang Vinh could be a new option for Coach Kim, helping the Korean coach gain more confidence on his journey to win a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup Finals.

“Group F of the Asian Cup qualifiers includes Nepal, Malaysia and Laos, but only one of the four teams will advance. We are sure to qualify for the finals,” he said.
