Attending the program in Ly Son Special Zone were comrade Nguyen Minh Son - Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Vietnam Veterans Association, comrade Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phuong Chinh - Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 351, Naval Region 3. On behalf of the Petrovietnam Veterans Association and the Truong Sa Petroleum Club, there were comrade Le Quang Toan - Permanent Vice President of the Group's Veterans Association, Vice Chairman of the Truong Sa Petroleum Club, comrade Nguyen Van Dinh - Vice President of the Group's Veterans Association; former leaders of Petrovietnam, Petrovietnam Veterans Association through the periods, members of the Petrovietnam Veterans Association, representatives of delegates from member units who are members of the Truong Sa Petroleum Club.
On the side of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company ( BSR ), there were comrade Truong Thi Thu Ha - Member of the Party Committee, Chief of the Party Committee Office, Deputy Head of the Human Resources Management and Development Board, Vice Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union, comrade Nguyen Huy Du - Secretary of the Youth Union, Deputy Chief of the Office, along with the Party Committee Office and members of the BSR Veterans Association. On the side of Radar Station 550, there were comrade Cao Quoc Duy - Station Chief, comrade Tran Van Tai - Political Commissar of Station 550 and all officers and soldiers of the Station.
The trip is a meaningful political and ideological activity to spread Petrovietnam's affection and foster trust and pride in the country's energy industry and educate the love of the sea and islands and the awareness of protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland in each Petrovietnam cadre, party member and employee.
On the afternoon of August 8, the delegation offered incense at the Hoang Sa Fleet Monument, which commemorates the contributions of the Ly Son people who set sail to establish and protect the sovereignty of the islands hundreds of years ago. Next, the delegation visited the Hoang Sa Fleet Exhibition House, where they learned about the artifacts and valuable documents about the historical journey of their ancestors.
At Am Linh Pagoda - a national monument to worship the heroic soldiers of Hoang Sa - the Delegation respectfully offered incense, expressing their deep gratitude. The sunset over To Vo Gate was also the moment the Delegation calmed down, feeling the beauty and pride of the outpost island.
During the working trip, at Radar Station 550 of Naval Region 3 on Thoi Loi Mountain, the delegation visited, presented gifts and interacted with officers and soldiers. The Petrovietnam Veterans Association and Truong Sa Petroleum Club presented Radar Station 550 with 30 million VND and 3 air-conditioners to help improve the soldiers' living conditions.
Speaking at the visit and encouragement to the officers and soldiers, comrade Le Quang Toan - Permanent Vice President of the Petrovietnam Veterans Association, Vice Chairman of the Truong Sa Petroleum Club, affirmed: "Today's working trip is not only an activity to celebrate the country's major holidays and the success of the Petrovietnam Party Congress but also a living proof of Petrovietnam's solidarity.
The collective of cadres, party members, union members and association members of Petrovietnam are always deeply aware that, in order for offshore oil and gas projects to operate safely and sustainably, there needs to be close coordination and mutual support with the Navy. We wish to contribute a small part to improve the working and living conditions of the officers and soldiers, thereby adding spiritual strength to the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Navy to firmly protect the sacred sea and sky of the Fatherland.
Comrade Nguyen Phuong Chinh - Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 351, Naval Region 3, emotionally shared: “In the conditions of working on a remote island, all the attention and encouragement from the mainland is a great source of motivation for us to be more steadfast in our guns. Petrovietnam's gift today is not only of material value but also of the sentiment and trust that Petrovietnam has for us. We would like to sincerely thank that heart and are determined to uphold the spirit of vigilance, solidarity, overcome difficulties, and vow to firmly protect the sovereignty of the sacred airspace, sea, and continental shelf of the Fatherland, including national oil and gas projects”.
The program ended but the echoes of the love between the army and the people, the love between the mainland and the islands still lingered in the hearts of each member of the Working Group. The image of Petrovietnam people turning towards the sea and islands, sticking with the Navy will continue to spread as a message of responsibility and love towards the Fatherland.
