On the evening of May 13, the Hai Phong City Women's Union organized the 3rd Ao Dai Festival with the theme "Heritage Journey".

Delegates launched the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in Hai Phong city.

This is one of 78 events in the overall program responding to the 2024 Red Flamboyant Festival with the theme "Hai Phong - shining heritage land".

Participating in the Ao Dai Festival this year were hundreds of Ao Dai designs from two collections "Origin" by designer Thu Van and "Hai Phong past and present" by An An brand. The festival immersed viewers in a space of classical and contemporary art and culture, recreating Ao Dai from its original form to the changes and unique characteristics of each historical period. The designers took viewers on a journey around Vietnam to honor Ao Dai through unique designs that combined the quintessence of traditional culture with modern, innovative fashion elements such as: embroidery, painting, using patterns from ethnic costumes.

Inspired by the image of the simple homeland, familiar landmarks, closely associated with the land and people of Hai Phong such as the Opera House, Hai Phong Railway Station, the city post office, Tam Bac Lake... and the bright color of the red phoenix flower - the symbolic flower of the beloved Port City, the designers have created and embroidered unique products from their love and skillful hands. That is also the source of evidence for the continuation and sublimation of the heritage values ​​of one of the traditional occupations of Hai Phong residents since ancient times.

Ms. Vu Thi Kim Lien, Chairwoman of the Hai Phong City Women's Union, shared that on April 3, the Vietnam Cultural Support and Preservation Fund - Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club officially presented the Decision to establish the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in Hai Phong City. This event is a practical activity contributing to the preservation of national culture and meaningful activities on the occasion of the great anniversary of the liberation of Hai Phong City.

The Organizing Committee has announced 5 ambassadors for the Hai Phong Ao Dai Festival 2024.
