(CLO) After the success of the first "Hanoi & I" Writing Contest, Hanoi People Magazine continues to launch the second "Hanoi & I" Writing Contest with the theme "Hanoi: Village stories - city stories".


The second writing contest on the theme “Hanoi & Me” contributes to honoring and spreading the traditional cultural values ​​of Thang Long – Hanoi; the elegant and civilized character of Hanoians… thereby arousing love and responsibility in every Hanoian as well as people across the country towards the thousand-year-old capital.

The contest is an opportunity for everyone to visualize more clearly the changes of streets and villages in the capital through each period, contributing to clarifying the old and new values ​​of the land of Kinh Ky - Ke Cho. Through impressive and attractive stories about villages and streets, reflecting the pace of life, the changes of Hanoi urban area, the city's growth in the process of integration and development, especially in the development of cultural industry; At the same time, expressing the ideas and initiatives of the authors, contributing to realizing the aspiration of building a Cultural - Civilized - Modern Capital.

This is also an opportunity for everyone to visualize more clearly the changes of the streets and villages in the Capital through each period, contributing to clarifying the old and new values ​​of the land of Kinh Ky - Ke Cho; at the same time, it is an opportunity for each person to express their perspective and love for the Capital of a thousand years of culture, the Heroic Capital, the City for Peace, the Creative City".

"The contest is open to professional and non-professional authors, Vietnamese citizens or foreigners of all ages (members of the Jury, the Work Evaluation Council, and the Secretariat are not allowed to submit works)" - Journalist Vuong Minh Hue added.

According to the Organizing Committee, the entries are in the genres of essays, notes and reports; they are new compositions, not yet published in the mass media, on social networks or in any publications. Each author can submit multiple entries. Entries must not exceed 3,000 words, and are encouraged to include illustrations.

The closing ceremony and award ceremony are expected to take place on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day, October 10, 2026.

The prize structure includes: 1 First prize: 8,000,000 VND/prize; 2 Second prizes: 6,000,000 VND/prize; 3 Third prizes: 4,000,000 VND/prize; 4 Encouragement prizes: Certificate with bonus worth: 2,000,000 VND/prize.

In addition, the Organizing Committee will award additional prizes to the works with the highest number of views in the quarter and in the year. The works participating in the contest that meet the requirements of the rules will be published by the Organizing Committee on the Hanoi People Electronic Magazine (https://nguoihanoi.vn).
