Hanoi: Ensuring safety during the National Day celebration on September 2

Accordingly, the City People's Committee assigned the Hanoi City Police to direct the Commune and Ward Police to proactively coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and wards to strengthen their grasp of the security and order situation in the area, promptly detect potential problems that could cause disorder, security and social safety; deploy early preventive measures to prevent them from arising; arrange forces on duty, proactively handle situations when they occur; assign and arrange human resources to direct traffic in areas prone to traffic congestion and conflicts, ensure security and order, especially during the days of the general training, preliminary rehearsal, rehearsal and celebration ceremonies, parades and official marches.

In addition, regularly maintain propaganda, dissemination, remind people to proactively prevent fires and explosions; check and review high-risk areas and constructions, crowded areas, and hard-to-reach areas; have timely handling plans to minimize damage to people and property.

Mobilize and propagate people not to participate in social evils; promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle violations.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to direct units to deploy measures to ensure drainage, prevent flooding, and maintain the drainage system in the city, especially in areas around the routes where celebrations, parades, and international delegates and guests stay; prepare plans, forces, vehicles, and equipment to be on standby and promptly handle incidents; ensure safety before, during, and after the National Day celebration on September 2.
