Major Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan examines a soldier
In 2003, after graduating from Tay Ninh Medical College, Major Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan volunteered to join the army and was assigned to work at the Military Command of Chau Thanh district, Tay Ninh province (old).
Following Uncle Ho's teaching "A good doctor is like a mother", Major Nhan has researched and learned more knowledge through documents, books, newspapers, along with practical experience to improve her skills. Combining Eastern and Western medicine in health care for soldiers, she maintains a garden of traditional Vietnamese medicinal plants with many familiar medicinal herbs in daily life such as: lemongrass, mugwort, perilla, Vietnamese balm, plantain, etc.
“With the assigned tasks, I actively advise to effectively carry out the work of epidemic prevention and control, environmental sanitation, waste collection, mosquito spraying to prevent and combat dengue fever, ensuring good hygiene requirements, building a green - clean - beautiful barracks environment,... Together with the unit, carry out the preliminary selection and military service examination work strictly, following the process, ensuring democracy, fairness, and transparency, contributing to the unit completing the assigned targets" - Major Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan said.
In 2025, after the administrative restructuring, she was transferred to work at the Defense Command of Region 3 - Tan Ninh. At the new unit, Major Nhan regularly monitors and records according to the plan to grasp the health status of the troops; advises the unit commander to implement measures to ensure the ratio of healthy troops to be ready to fight and work in the new situation.
In addition to doing a good job in his professional work, Major Nhan is also a "propaganda soldier" who actively participates in the fight against erroneous and hostile views on cyberspace; propagating major national holidays, sea and island sovereignty , disease prevention and control work in many forms such as making infographics, short video clips,... according to the direction of Steering Committee 35 on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views.
