According to Tech WCCF , the world's most popular map and navigation application Google Maps is about to add satellite features, allowing users to use maps and find their way even without an internet connection.

This feature is currently being developed by Google and is expected to be launched soon. According to reputable sources, the satellite feature will allow users to update their location using satellite signals, instead of relying on mobile connections or Wi-Fi as it is now.

Thanks to this improvement, users will no longer have to worry about losing signal when traveling in remote areas or complex terrain where mobile signal is often very weak or unavailable. The new feature is also especially useful for people who often travel , climb mountains, trek in the forest or work in areas with limited internet connection conditions.

In addition, satellite features can also be used to support rescue operations when natural disasters or incidents cause telecommunications infrastructure to be disrupted.

Google has not yet announced an official launch date for the satellite feature on Google Maps. However, many experts predict that this feature will be integrated into the Android 15 update, expected to launch later this year.

Note that your phone will need to support satellite connectivity to use this feature. Satellite connectivity currently works on most modern Android devices, as well as upcoming 5G phones like the Pixel 9 series or the Galaxy S25 series.
