Community Action Award: Honoring individuals and organizations that have made positive contributions to society

Continuing the spirit of the first two seasons, this year's award continues its journey of inspiration, honoring persistent, quiet but far-reaching community actions in society.

The Human Act Prize is an annual national award to honor individuals and organizations that have made positive contributions to society through community initiatives and projects with sustainable impact.

If "Pioneering Mark" (2023) is a tribute to pioneers, the first warriors who devoted themselves and overcame difficulties to lay the foundation for community action, then "Community Creation" (2024) is a strong transformation, marking a collective that knows how to connect, join forces and together spread models that create far-reaching impacts. And with "Persevering Service" (2025), that journey is continued by the perseverance to preserve, nurture and deepen the values ​​that have been sown, so that they can spread further and be more sustainable over time.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Award Organizing Committee Le Quoc Minh shared: "For an initiative to be able to nurture in the long term and help the community on a large scale, it is necessary to converge many factors. It does not only come from the heart or a story with humane power, but also requires a correct strategy, constant creativity, sustainable resources, a spirit of perseverance and endurance. These are factors that are not easy to converge, and are also the biggest challenge for those who are committed to the community. But if they converge, the project will bring about profound social impacts".

For that reason, "Persevering in Service" was chosen as the theme of the Human Act Prize 2025. "Persevering in Service" not only depicts the depth of their dedicated efforts, but also honors the real social impacts that the project brings. They are the ones who overcome the limitations of resources, time and even belief to nurture humane initiatives every day, tirelessly facing difficulties, not retreating from challenges. It is this perseverance that has been creating sustainable changes for the community - silently but deeply, quietly but powerfully.

In that spirit, the Human Act Prize 2025 continues to seek and honor individuals and organizations that are implementing projects for the community – regardless of scale, starting point or field of activity. Serving the community is not only a noble ideal, but also a courageous choice. People who persevere to the end of the path they believe in deserve to be spread, supported and honored – so that sustainable human values ​​are lit up and extended throughout society.

Having participated in the 2024 Community Action Award with the project "Happiness for Children", Senior Lieutenant Duong Hai Anh said: being honored with the award in 2024 helped the project receive the support of singer Ha Anh Tuan. The male singer has jointly built 2 schools so that students can enter the new school year with a new "roof" and plans to invite the singer to participate in the inauguration of this school in Thuan Chau, Son La . Furthermore, thanks to the spread of the award, the project has received additional support from 3 businesses, contributing to increasing the number of schools supported by the project from 67 to 88.

Appreciating the theme of "Persevering in Service", Senior Lieutenant Duong Hai Anh shared that this year's award emphasizes the perseverance in pursuing meaningful values ​​to bring sustainable results to the community. This is especially important in the journey of serving society.

The 2025 Community Action Award will have 5 evaluation criteria: Commitment, sustainability, creativity, impact, and spread.

In particular, this year, the exhibition of "Action for the Community" projects will be held at the People's Newspaper Campus, directly connected to the Hoan Kiem Lake walking street - an open space in the heart of the capital, where people and tourists can easily visit. With its prime location, the exhibition is expected to attract a large number of visitors, especially during the two weekends of the event.

In addition, instead of just displaying information, the exhibition space will tell stories through real artifacts – products made from recycled materials, waste materials, items made from processed bomb shells, products of people with disabilities, and environmentally friendly initiatives… Each artifact not only bears the mark of creativity, but is also a symbol of revival and the spirit of serving the community.

In addition, the exhibition also organizes interactive workshops, encouraging green and positive lifestyles such as: recycling, exchanging trash for trees, and many activities aimed at changing awareness - from small actions, but with great influence.
