Quang Ninh welcomes half a million tourists in 2 days

According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province, in 2 days (April 30 and May 1), this locality welcomed nearly 500,000 visitors, an increase of 16% over the same period in 2024. Of which, the total number of overnight guests reached nearly 200,000; international visitors were about 44,700. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 1,334 billion VND, an increase of 45% over the same period in 2024.

On May 1 alone, the total number of tourists visiting tourist attractions in localities throughout the province was estimated at 320,000. Of which, the total number of overnight guests was estimated at 134,000; international visitors were estimated at 21,700. Total revenue from tourists was about VND880 billion, an increase of 52% over the same period in 2024.

In particular, the Ha Long Carnival 2025 program with the theme "Connecting heritage - Pioneering to shine" took place at Sun Carnival Square, attracting about 20,000 people and tourists. To ensure security, order and safety for the people, Quang Ninh Provincial Police mobilized over 600 officers and soldiers from the provincial police departments and the police of communes and wards in Ha Long city to coordinate with functional forces to synchronously deploy plans to ensure security, order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, rescue and relief.

On May 1, localities continued to organize a series of attractive tourism activities, attracting many tourists to visit and experience. At the tourist center of Ha Long city, 177,000 visitors were welcomed; Mong Cai city welcomed 42,000 visitors; Uong Bi city welcomed nearly 18,000 visitors; Van Don district welcomed nearly 31,000 visitors; Co To district welcomed about 11,500 visitors...

In addition, tourist attractions in the province continued to affirm their attraction: Ha Long Bay welcomed 32,000 visitors, of which 6,500 were international visitors; Sun World Park welcomed about 13,000 visitors; Quang Ninh Museum welcomed nearly 12,600 visitors, Yen Tu Special National Relic Site welcomed about 3,000 visitors, Ba Vang Pagoda welcomed about 6,000 visitors, Cai Chien Island welcomed about 11,100 visitors; international visitors entering through Mong Cai border gate reached nearly 5,000 visitors...

Kien Giang: Number of tourists visiting and traveling increases sharply

According to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, during the two-day holiday of April 30 and May 1, the province welcomed about 143,290 domestic and foreign tourists, an increase of more than 50% over the same period in 2024, of which 11,842 were international visitors. Total revenue from tourists was over 458 billion VND, an increase of 61% over the same period.

Tourist destinations that attract many tourists include Phu Quoc, Ha Tien, Hon Son, Nam Du, Hon Phu Tu... Of these, Phu Quoc Pearl Island attracted 63,425 visitors, accounting for more than 44% of the total number of tourists to the province on April 30 and May 1, including 10,846 international visitors.

Tourists coming to Phu Quoc Pearl Island experience unique and novel products such as: Walking on the seabed, catching pearl oysters at Ngoc Hien Sea pearl farm in Rach Vem; playing golf on the sea at Dugong Bay tourist destination, Ham Ninh fishing village (Phu Quoc city). Mr. Pham Hong Son, Director of Dugong Bay tourism enterprise, Ham Ninh commune, shared that eco-tourism is becoming a popular trend, it not only helps tourists enjoy the beauty of nature but also contributes to protecting the environment.

In particular, from April 28 to May 1, about 70 domestic travel agencies in the North surveyed and connected tourism with Phu Quoc Island and many provinces signed strategic cooperation agreements, linking tourism development with Kien Giang. Mr. Truong Cong Tam, Chairman of Phu Quoc Professional Tour Guide Association, said that famtrip groups experienced many services such as: Walking on the seabed and visiting pearl farms; visiting Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc wildlife sanctuary; VinWonders Phu Quoc theme park... The famtrip program aims to stimulate summer tourism in 2025, expecting travel agencies to have many tours and routes to the Pearl Island.
