Raw rice prices continue to fall slightly

In the Mekong Delta region, some raw rice varieties continued to be adjusted down. IR 504 rice decreased by 100 VND/kg, currently at 8,400 - 8,550 VND/kg. OM 5451 rice fluctuated at 9,700 - 9,850 VND/kg; OM 380 at 8,150 - 8,250 VND/kg; CL 555 around 9,000 - 9,100 VND/kg.

Finished rice varieties such as OM 380 and IR 504 remain at 8,800 - 9,700 VND/kg. Prices fluctuate little at warehouses due to slow transactions and limited rice arrivals.

Rice prices are stable, traders are buying sparingly

Rice prices in provinces such as An Giang, Dong Thap, Hau Giang ... remain stable. IR 50404 and OM 308 rice fluctuate between 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg. OM 5451, OM 18, Nang Hoa 9, Dai Thom 8 remain in the range of 5,900 - 6,200 VND/kg.

Although it is the summer-autumn harvest season, farmers continue to hold prices high. Meanwhile, many traders offer lower prices, causing transactions to slow down.

Retail prices at the market remain unchanged, sticky rice segment is stable

At traditional markets, the retail price of rice has not changed. Nang Nhen rice is still at the highest level of 28,000 VND/kg. Regular rice is 13,000 - 14,000 VND/kg, Huong Lai rice is 22,000 VND/kg, Thai fragrant rice is 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg. Jasmine rice, common white rice, Japanese rice, Soc rice... also keep the same price as before.

By-products slightly decreased, bran continued to decline

The price of by-products such as bran continued to decrease slightly, to 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg. OM 5451 broken rice remained at 7,500 - 7,650 VND/kg. The price of rice husk remained stable around 1,000 - 1,150 VND/kg.

Rice exports flourish, prices increase again

Vietnam’s rice export prices continue to rise, with 5% broken rice currently being offered at $395-$400 per ton – the highest since May. Demand from Asia and Africa has increased significantly. Ports in Ho Chi Minh City are continuously receiving ships receiving cargo.

From the beginning of the year to mid-July, Vietnam exported more than 5 million tons of rice, earning about 2.6 billion USD. Although output increased slightly, export value still decreased by nearly 15% due to lower average selling prices than last year.
