The 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2023 - 2028, will take place from December 1 - 3, 2023 in Hanoi. This is an important political event of the working class, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and a broad political activity among cadres, union members, and workers nationwide.

The Congress has the task of assessing the implementation results of the Resolution of the 12th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; determining the goals and tasks for the 2023-2028 term; reviewing the leadership and direction of the Executive Committee of the 12th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, electing the Executive Committee of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; assessing the implementation and approving the Charter of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (amended and supplemented).

The 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is expected to discuss three breakthroughs: Promoting dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on wages, bonuses, working hours, rest hours, and occupational safety and hygiene. Focusing on developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in non-state enterprises. Building a team of grassroots union chairmen to meet the requirements of the task, especially union chairmen in non-state enterprises.

The new point in the organization of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is to increase discussion, open 10 thematic forums to discuss and propose initiatives for 10 major issues facing the trade union organization. The forums are held before the official congress date. The congress also increases the application of digital technology in organizing and serving the congress.

The delegation of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation attending the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union consists of 15 comrades (including 1 delegate assigned by the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to work at the delegation). Comrade Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation is the Head of the delegation.

At the meeting, comrade Kha Van Tam informed about the time and content of the congress, including the participation of the delegation of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation. Specifically, at this congress, the Nghe An delegation will participate in the forum on financial management of the Trade Union and have 2 presentations at the congress.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission congratulated the honored delegates attending the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.

Through information on the delegation's planned activities at the congress, comrade Ngoc Kim Nam assessed that the Central Committee highly appreciated the activities of Nghe An Trade Union, affirming the position of Nghe An in general and Nghe An Trade Union in particular.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission requested that delegates comply with the rules and regulations during the congress and fully and effectively participate in the activities.

In particular, based on assessment, perception and analysis from the reality in Nghe An, the delegation needs to have opinions on current shortcomings in workers' lives such as: Harmoniously handling the interests between workers and employers; removing difficulties in building social housing for workers... to convey the voice of Nghe An workers to the forum.

Wishing the delegation of Nghe An Labor Federation to make positive and effective contributions to the success of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, comrade Ngoc Kim Nam suggested that after the congress, the Provincial Labor Federation soon implement the Congress Resolution into practical and effective life, and the Trade Union organization in Nghe An will increasingly develop.
