On the afternoon of December 19, the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations of Nghe An province held a conference to review and summarize activities in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024. Comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Permanent Deputy Head of the Steering Committee chaired the conference.

DEMOCRACY CONTINUES TO BE EXPANDED AND PROMOTED

In 2023, Party committees and authorities at all levels focused on leading, directing, thoroughly grasping, implementing, and promptly concretizing the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on democratic regulations.

The development and implementation of grassroots democracy regulations have contributed to innovating methods, improving the leadership capacity of the Party, management and administration of the government; innovating the content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

Party committees, authorities and enterprises regularly pay attention, are proactive and flexible in leading, directing and implementing democratic regulations in accordance with the situation, conditions and fields of the unit, locality and enterprise, associated with promoting the responsibility of the leader.

Implementing democratic regulations at all types of grassroots effectively has a positive impact on the work of building grassroots Party organizations, authorities, and people's organizations; creating a democratic, open, transparent environment, enhancing the sense of responsibility of cadres and party members, contributing to building clean and strong agencies, units, and localities.

Administrative reform, maintaining discipline and administrative order were strengthened. Reception of citizens, direct dialogue with people, and settlement of complaints and denunciations were carried out in accordance with regulations.

The role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations continues to be promoted, propagating and mobilizing union members, association members and people of all walks of life to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's policies and laws.

At the meeting, members of the Steering Committee discussed and commented on a number of contents in the activities of grassroots democracy regulations and proposed to enhance the role of the District Steering Committee; supplement the results of attracting FDI investment, propaganda; mobilize people to implement 2 projects to expand administrative boundaries and urban space of Vinh City and the Project to arrange commune-level administrative units in the period of 2023-2025;...

PROMOTING ADMINISTRATIVE REFORM ASSOCIATED WITH IMPLEMENTING DEMOCRATIC REGULATIONS

Concluding the conference, comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee said that in 2023, despite many difficulties, with the high determination of the political system, the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations achieved many results.

Emphasizing the tasks in the coming time, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission Ngoc Kim Nam said that the province will reorganize the Steering Committee to ensure streamlining and efficiency; continue to focus on propaganda, especially the role of information provision by leaders; innovate propaganda work on implementing grassroots democracy regulations.

Strengthen the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities, the supervisory role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in implementing grassroots democracy regulations. Link the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; implement the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee, Session XII and XIII on Party building and rectification; promote the emulation movement "Skilled mass mobilization" practically and effectively.

In addition, promote administrative procedure reform associated with implementing grassroots democracy regulations; continue to innovate the direction and administration methods of authorities at all levels in the spirit of "creation" and "service"; promote the development of e-government and digital government; improve the public ethics of cadres, civil servants and public employees.

Continue to strengthen dialogue and contact; strengthen inspection and examination of the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations; promote people's mastery.
