On the morning of October 3, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lam district held an inauguration ceremony and installed signs for city- and district-level works for 3 schools to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

Two schools were awarded the city-level project sign: Duong Xa High School (Duong Xa Commune) and Sao Khue Kindergarten (Da Ton Commune); the school was awarded the district-level project sign: Dai Hung Primary School (Da Ton Commune).

The projects will contribute to meeting the increasing demand for teaching and learning, improving the quality of life, developing the intellectual level of the people of Gia Lam district, continuing to affirm the efforts, endeavors and responsibilities of the entire political system of Hanoi city.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha emphasized that towards the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, from the end of 2023, the Hanoi Party Committee issued Directive No. 27-CT/TU dated December 20, 2023 to comprehensively lead and direct the organization of commemorative activities.

The City People's Committee has also issued projects and plans to organize and implement comprehensive activities in all fields, including organizing a high-level emulation movement, achieving achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital; promoting the image of the Capital and the country; showing gratitude, ensuring social security; organizing seminars, exhibitions and especially renovating, embellishing, inaugurating and attaching signs to works.

Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha suggested that Gia Lam district continue to effectively implement practical activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day, including investment and post-investment management, especially for public works, schools, and cultural institutions to improve and effectively exploit them to serve people's lives.

The district needs to coordinate with the Department of Education and Training to develop a project to organize activities and effectively exploit and use advanced, modern, multi-level schools.

The project to renovate and upgrade Duong Xa High School is invested in construction on a land area of ​​about 14,620m2, with items such as building a new school building and a 4-storey administrative building; renovating and repairing the existing school building to ensure the scale of 30 classrooms, department rooms, functional rooms..., adding equipment for teaching and learning, with a total investment of over 105 billion VND.

After 8 months of implementation, the project was completed and handed over in August 2024.

Sao Khue Kindergarten in Ngoc Dong village, Da Ton commune was built with a scale of 20 classroom groups, functional rooms, administrative area with a total construction area of ​​about 6,648m2 and many auxiliary items.

The project has a total investment of over 72 billion VND from the district budget, starting construction in August 2023, completed and handed over in August 2024, ensuring current regulations, standards and regulations of the State and the city.

Dai Hung Primary School started construction in July 2023, building new buildings combined with renovating the main office buildings, gymnasiums, and school buildings to ensure 20 classrooms, functional rooms, main office buildings, gymnasiums, auxiliary items, and investing in learning and teaching equipment, systems, fire prevention and fighting, etc. to ensure synchronization.

The project is invested and built on a land area of ​​13,393m2 with a total investment of over 65 billion VND from the district budget./.
