In 2024, the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and Party committees at all levels regularly paid attention to leading, directing and directly implementing inspection and supervision work with very high political determination; promptly issued and organized the implementation of inspection and supervision programs to ensure compliance with the set plan. The content of inspection and supervision focused on the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of resolutions, directives, regulations, conclusions of the Party, laws of the State, signs of degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation", cases and incidents that caused public outrage. Party committees and inspection committees at all levels promptly issued supplements and completed the system of documents on inspection, supervision and party discipline work. Up to now, the Central Inspection Committee and inspection committees at all levels have inspected, concluded, handled, and proposed strict and timely handling of violating party organizations and party members, including many high-ranking officials of the Party and State. Through inspection and handling, it has contributed to preventing and repelling ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation among officials and party members.
In their discussions at the conference, delegates focused on clarifying the achieved results; analyzing and pointing out the shortcomings and limitations in the leadership and direction of the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks of a number of Party committees and organizations; sharing experiences and proposing solutions to improve the effectiveness of the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks of Party committees, Party organizations and inspection committees at all levels.
Speaking at the conference, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the particularly important role of inspection and supervision work, continuing to affirm the Party's policy in preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, which is "no forbidden zones", "no exceptions", "no safe landing". This has received active support, strengthening the people's trust in the Party's leadership.
He suggested that in the coming time, Party committees, Party organizations, and Inspection Committees at all levels need to raise awareness and responsibility for inspection and supervision work, incorporate the "anti-waste" content into the Party's inspection and supervision work, and continue to synchronously deploy inspection and supervision solutions. Party committees, Party organizations, and Inspection Committees at all levels should focus on promoting digital transformation and applying information technology, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the Party's inspection and supervision work, with the motto of preventing violations early and from afar. The Central Inspection Committee actively participates in the process of drafting documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party. Inspection Committees at all levels should focus on advising Party committees at the same level to effectively organize Party congresses at all levels; Focus on inspecting party organizations and party members when there are signs of violations, thoroughly resolving complaints and denunciations, especially those related to party committee personnel work before party congresses at all levels.
The General Secretary also directed Party committees, Party organizations, and inspection committees at all levels to urgently implement the restructuring and streamlining of the apparatus in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently".
