During the 30-day peak campaign to open "Digital Literacy" classes in each residential area, remote area, and ethnic minority area in the province, the entire Union established 53 shock teams with the participation of 1,850 young union members.
On July 12, in Ha Long ward, the Provincial Youth Union launched the Campaign "30 peak days of opening digital literacy classes". The goal is for 100% of commune-level unions and affiliated unions to open at least 1 "Digital literacy" class per week. At the same time, it will mobilize the maximum participation of community digital technology groups, young intellectuals, youth union members, students, especially grassroots union cadres as the core force in organizing and teaching.
Responding to the enthusiastic launch, up to now, Yen Tu Ward Youth Union has organized 12 "Digital Literacy" classes for about 1,000 people, divided into groups of subjects, such as members of the War Veterans Association, women, students, children, citizens... In each class, in addition to providing general knowledge on using VNeID, electronic identification, accessing the National Public Service Portal, performing online administrative procedures, and popularizing basic digital skills for people; Youth Union officials also focus on building and designing specialized content on popularizing artificial intelligence (AI) application skills suitable for each group of subjects. Specifically, the class for students and teenagers focuses on guiding the search for AI software to support learning; the class for members of political and social organizations focuses on guiding the use of AI in planning, drafting documents, reports, writing media articles...
Secretary of Yen Tu Ward Youth Union Do Thai Son said: In parallel with opening "Digital Literacy" classes, the Ward Youth Union has promoted propaganda about digital transformation, created videos instructing people on the steps when participating in solving administrative procedures online and at the Ward Public Administration Service Center, posted on social networks such as Facebook, TikTok, Zalo, etc., attracting hundreds of thousands of interactions. At the same time, assigning Youth Union members to be on duty at the fanpage "Yen Tu Ward Youth" to be ready to support and answer people's questions during the implementation process.
The Youth Unions of communes, wards and special zones have all focused on implementing the "Digital Literacy for All" classes. The Youth Union has strongly promoted its pioneering and pioneering role in popularizing and improving basic digital skills for the people, focusing on the elderly, youth in summer activities, people in remote areas, and those with limited access to digital technology; helping them gradually access and master basic digital skills, forming a class of digital citizens capable of adapting and mastering technology.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen (Group 5, Zone 3, Ha Long Ward) shared: When participating in the "Digital Education for the People" class, I was guided by the Youth Union members of the neighborhood to install and use the VNeID application. I find the integration of personal information, health insurance, social insurance... very convenient when doing administrative procedures and medical examination and treatment.
After 1 month launch, The entire Union has organized 175 "Digital Literacy" classes, 260 activities to popularize digital skills in many forms. Over 10,250 people and adolescents have been supported with skills to use VNeID and electronic identification, access the National Public Service Portal, perform online administrative procedures, become familiar with AI application skills, and be equipped with skills to avoid risks when transacting online. Thereby contributing to promoting the comprehensive digital transformation process in the province.
