Nam Can Border Post signed a memorandum of understanding with Border Guard Company 224 (Xieng Khouang, Laos)

Attending the ceremony were Colonel Nguyen Cong Luc - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Commander of the Military Command, and Commander of the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province.

On the side of the Military Command of Xieng Khouang province, there was Lieutenant Colonel Kham Phan Chan La Son - Deputy Chief of Office; together with representatives of the Party Committee and local authorities of Muong Moc district, Xieng Khouang province (Laos), Na Ngoi commune ( Nghe An province), officers, soldiers and people in the border area.

This activity aims to implement the Memorandum of Understanding between the Border Guard of Nghe An province and the Military Command of Xieng Khouang province (Laos) on twinning between border guard units of the two sides.

According to the signed content, the two units will strengthen coordination in border management and protection; maintain regular consultations, information exchanges and bilateral patrols; step up propaganda and mobilize people on both sides to strictly comply with agreements and regulations on border management.

At the same time, coordinate in the fight against all types of crimes, support rescue, and prevent epidemics; hand over and return citizens who violate the law in accordance with regulations. The two sides also agreed to organize cultural and sports exchange activities, and exchange experiences in building a strong and comprehensive unit.

Speaking at the ceremony, representatives of the Nghe An Border Guard Command and the Xieng Khouang Provincial Military Command affirmed: The signing of the memorandum of understanding between Nam Can Border Guard Station and Border Guard Company 224 is a practical activity, contributing to consolidating the special solidarity, enhancing trust and cohesion between the border protection forces of the two countries; joining hands to build a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and sustainably developed Vietnam - Laos border.

Up to now, on the 468.281km long border adjacent to 3 provinces of Laos, 10 Border Guard stations of Nghe An Border Guard have signed agreements with 9 Border Guard Companies and 1 Border Police Station of Laos, which shares the same border./.
