Building a cultural environment

The Movement for the Construction of a Cultural Life is truly a policy that carries the "Party's will and the people's heart" when it has a strong impact, changing from awareness to action, combining the power of the law, the political system with public opinion, truly making culture the spiritual foundation of society, consolidating the great national unity bloc, and preserving the national cultural identity.

Once one of the residential areas with a high poverty rate in My Lung commune, Yen Lap district, but up to now, residential area No. 1 has changed a lot, the rural appearance is increasingly prosperous, the spiritual and material life of the people is increasingly improved. Ms. Nguyen Thi Dong - Head of residential area No. 1 informed: The area has 168 households with 676 people, of which the Muong ethnic group accounts for over 90%. In 2024, natural disasters and storms have significantly affected the agricultural production activities of the people, however, the people in the area have united, helped each other to overcome the consequences of storms, and promoted economic development. Up to now, the average income per capita in the area has reached 38 million VND/year; the poverty rate has decreased to 18.3%; the area has 151 households recognized as Cultural Families, of which 140 households have achieved the title of Cultural Family for 3 years or more; The whole area still has 27 poor households and 36 near-poor households...

Similarly, Dong Tam area, Minh Dai commune, Tan Son district currently has 121 households with 489 people. Up to now, the poverty rate in the area is only 1.65%; average income per capita reaches 58.9 million VND/year; the rate of cultural families reaches 97.5%. Head of Dong Tam area Nguyen Van Hiep said: With the attention of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the support of the community and the consensus of the people, Dong Tam area has built and put into use a new cultural house, with an area of ​​over ^250m2 , the total construction cost is nearly 2 billion VND. The cultural house with many entertainment facilities for children, sports areas for adults, the elderly... is an important highlight that helps the area achieve the title of "Cultural residential area" in 2024. The area was commended by the Chairman of Tan Son district People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in the new rural construction movement...

Box: In 2024, the whole province will have 383,832 households recognized as Cultural Families, reaching over 92.6%; 1,802 residential areas will be recognized as Cultural Residential Areas, reaching 77.4%.

The work of building culturally standard agencies and enterprises continues to receive attention from all levels and sectors. Agencies, units and localities have actively encouraged employers to create favorable conditions for financial investment and the construction of cultural institutions to serve the spiritual life of workers such as: Building libraries, reading rooms, newspapers; cultural houses, clubs, traditional rooms; sports grounds and technical facilities: Amplifiers, loudspeakers, exercise equipment, sports... to serve the cultural needs of workers.

According to the assessment of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from the Movement "Building agencies, units and enterprises meeting cultural standards", cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities are regularly maintained and organized at all levels of trade unions with many diverse and rich forms, gradually meeting the needs of enjoyment and improving the physical and mental strength of workers, civil servants and laborers, promoting the spirit of emulation in production and labor, building a healthy cultural environment in each agency, unit and enterprise.
