Delegation of Hai Duong province offered flowers at Uncle Ho's statue in Ho Chi Minh City

On the afternoon of March 28, a delegation of Hai Duong province led by comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and attended a number of activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Colonel Vu Hong Anh, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; leaders of a number of departments and branches and 25 veteran delegates who directly participated in and contributed to the victory of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign.

In the afternoon of the same day, leaders and delegates came to offer flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park on Nguyen Hue Street, District 1 (Ho Chi Minh City).

The delegates spent a minute in remembrance, expressing their infinite gratitude for the great contributions of the great President Ho Chi Minh, who devoted and sacrificed his entire life to the cause of national liberation, fighting for peace and happiness of the Vietnamese people and people of the world.

Previously, the provincial delegation visited the War Remnants Museum on Vo Van Tan Street, District 3 (Ho Chi Minh City).

The War Remnants Museum is a museum specializing in researching, collecting, storing, preserving and displaying documents, images and artifacts about the evidence of crimes and consequences of wars that invading forces have caused to Vietnam. The museum is a place to propagate and educate the spirit of fighting to protect the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, the awareness of opposing aggressive wars, protecting peace and the spirit of solidarity and friendship among peoples in the world.

From March 28-30, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee hosted a delegation from Hai Duong province to attend a number of commemorative activities and visit historical sites in the city, including the Cu Chi Tunnels historical site; the Independence Palace special national relic; the Ho Chi Minh President Museum...

This is one of many meaningful activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

Previously, the provincial delegation visited the War Remnants Museum. The Provincial Party Secretary presented the Museum with a photo of two officers and soldiers from Hai Duong in the crew of tank T59 number 390 entering the Independence Palace on April 30, 1975. The two officers and soldiers from Hai Duong were comrades Vu Dang Toan, the vehicle commander, and Nguyen Van Tap, the driver.
