
VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park project was started on September 16, 2015 with a total area of 750 hectares. By the end of November 2023, VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park has attracted 42 investors (44 projects) with a leased land area of 238 hectares out of a total factory construction land area of 250.63 hectares, reaching an occupancy rate of 95%. Not only has the occupancy progress met the requirements, VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park is expected to attract more than 65,000 local workers when all factories come into operation.

Total investment capital in VSIP Nghe An reached 23,497.8 billion VND (equivalent to 1,012.8 million USD), including 24 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects from countries and territories such as Japan, Korea, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Sweden... with a total registered capital of 948.4 million USD.

Major corporations in the global electronics manufacturing and assembly supply chain have invested and continue to expand their investment in VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park, such as: Luxshare - ICT Group invested in 3 projects with a total registered capital of 330 million USD; Everwin Group invested in 1 project with a total capital of 200 million USD, expected to increase capital to 400 million USD; Merry - Luxshare Company invested in a project with a total capital of 40 million USD; Shandong Innovation Metal Technology Group invested in a project with a total investment of 165 million USD...
To date, 42 projects have been granted investment registration certificates, of which 27 projects have been put into operation, creating initial jobs for nearly 16,000 local workers. Seven other investors are building factories, the remaining nine investors have completed investment procedures and are carrying out planning procedures to implement construction.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Industrial Park assessed that Nghe An is a land with a lot of development potential from its geographical location, traffic hubs, logistics services... The locality has enough capacity to meet the strategic development stages of industrial parks. Notably, VSIP has received great support and companionship from the government and people of Nghe An.

The delegation of the Korean Embassy expressed their impression of the development speed and long-term strategic orientation of the industrial parks, bringing great socio-economic values to Nghe An province in particular and the country in general.
Previously, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam Choi Youngsam and the delegation also visited Namyangju Dasan Road in Vinh City. The road was started in March 2016 and inaugurated in March 2017. Namyangju Road is 920m long, marking the friendship and solidarity between Vinh City (Vietnam) and Namyangju (Korea).
