The female student presenting flowers to US President Joe Biden is Nguyen Tra My, a 12H student at Olympia High School, Hanoi. Tra My has been an excellent student for many years and has lived in many countries such as Canada and New Zealand, so her English and Vietnamese are very good. Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Tra My said that when she heard that she would present flowers to the US President, she was very nervous and worried, mixed with happiness because this is an important event. She wore a blue ao dai because this is the traditional costume of Vietnam.

"It was a short but very meaningful moment in my life. Because I realized that I was representing the entire young generation of Vietnam to send greetings to a politician with great influence in the world, in a national event. In addition to carefully preparing my outfit, attitude and demeanor, before welcoming the US President, I also learned more about some issues related to Vietnam and the US. The knowledge that I had learned before about the history and politics of countries in the Humanities subject of Olympia or the working style of politicians and diplomats through the role-playing of national representatives attending the United Nations Conference organized by the school, helped me a lot when attending this event", female student Nguyen Tra My shared. In the future, with her interest in studying Dentistry, Nguyen Tra My aims to study well, get high scores and pass the entrance exam to the school she wants.

On the afternoon of September 10, Air Force One carrying US President Joe Biden landed at Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi), starting a two-day state visit to Vietnam. Cooperation in health and education has also been a bright spot over the past 10 years, with the two countries sharing and helping each other during the Covid-19 pandemic. Vietnam has more than 30,000 students studying in the US, ranking 5th among the countries with the most international students in the country. The US also organizes many educational projects in Vietnam, including Fulbright University and sends volunteers to teach English in the Peace Corps Program.
