The Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense has just announced the admission scores for military academies and schools in 2024.
17 military schools all have a benchmark score of over 20. The highest is the C00 combination for male candidates in the North to enter the Political Officer School with 28.55 points. Following is the Border Defense major, the C00 combination at the Border Defense Academy with male candidates in the North - 28.37 points; the Chinese Language major of the Academy of Military Science with female candidates - 28.22 points... The benchmark scores for entering military schools in 2024 are specifically as follows: 
This year, the total enrollment target of military academies and schools is 5,212 candidates, of which the early enrollment target is 2,191 candidates. The academies and schools will enroll students according to 4 methods: Direct enrollment, priority enrollment, and enrollment of excellent high school students, not exceeding 15% of the target; Admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University, not exceeding 20% of the target; Admission based on high school transcripts, not exceeding 10% of the target; Admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam. With the enrollment method based on the results of the high school graduation exam, the target is determined to be the remaining target after considering all the targets of the 3 previous methods. From 2025, the military school block will organize a separate competency assessment exam. The exam will be conducted on computers with the same test as the Hanoi National University is implementing, but will only serve those who are applying for military service. The exam will test comprehensive knowledge including Math, Literature, Foreign Language, Comprehensive Test of Natural Science and Social Science knowledge. Military schools will reserve a maximum of about 30% of the admission quota for capacity assessment and will learn from experience and adjust the quota to suit the following years.
