Quang Tri Province Bus Station Management Center and Dong Ha Bus Station will be relocated to a new location to serve the site clearance for the construction of the coastal road project connecting the East-West Economic Corridor, Quang Tri Province, phase 1.


On February 28, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province announced that the acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, Ha Sy Dong, has just signed a decision approving the results of the appraisal of the environmental impact assessment report of the project to build the Provincial Bus Station Management Center and Dong Ha Bus Station at a new location, serving the site clearance for the construction of the coastal road project connecting the East-West economic corridor, Quang Tri province, phase 1.

The scope of construction of the Provincial Bus Station Management Center and Dong Ha Bus Station at the new location is carried out in Dong Luong Ward, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province with a total planned construction area of ​​50,000m2. Of which, phase 1 area is 18,738m2.

The project includes architectural items and technical infrastructure items such as: Office building of the Management Board and the Provincial Bus Station Management Center; traffic roads; driver registration area; driver registration waiting area; passenger drop-off area; overnight bus waiting area; toilets, etc.

The Provincial Bus Station Management Center and Dong Ha Bus Station are currently located on land on National Highway 1 at 425 Le Duan, Dong Le Ward, Dong Ha City.

This is the end point of the coastal road project connecting the East-West economic corridor, Quang Tri province - phase 1, currently under construction.

Previously, Giao Thong Newspaper reported that the coastal road project connecting the East-West economic corridor, Quang Tri province, phase 1, was approved by the People's Committee of Quang Tri province for the feasibility study report on the investment and construction project in December 2021 with a total length of more than 54.9km (phase 1 investment is 48.2km), including 2 sections.

Section 1 is more than 42km long, starting at the border of Quang Binh - Quang Tri provinces, ending at Km 42+162 (south of Cua Viet bridge). This section is in phase 1 of investment with a length of more than 36km, the section through Cua Tung bridge area and the section through Cua Viet bridge area have not been invested yet.

Section 2 is more than 12.2km long, the starting point connects with the axis road along the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone, the end point connects with National Highway 1, section Km759 through Dong Ha City.

The coastal road project connecting the East-West economic corridor, Quang Tri province, phase 1 has a total investment of more than 2 trillion VND from the central budget and provincial budget, with the Quang Tri Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board as the investor.

The project started on April 29, 2022 and contractors are currently constructing many sections of the phase 1 project.
