Attending the Conference were comrades: Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry's Party Committee Nguyen Minh Vu; Deputy Minister, Member of the Standing Committee Le Thi Thu Hang; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ministry's Party Committee Nguyen Dac Thanh; Member of the Standing Committee, Member of the Executive Committee, Chairman of the Ministry's Trade Union, Secretary of the Ministry's Youth Union.

Reporting at the Conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry Nguyen Dac Thanh affirmed that in 2024, the Party Committee of the Ministry closely coordinated with the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry to lead and direct the comprehensive implementation of professional foreign affairs tasks, Party building work and personnel organization work, contributing to building solidarity, consensus, enthusiasm, proactively and creatively proposing many initiatives.

Foreign affairs activities were proactively and actively implemented, achieving many substantial results, creating a new foreign affairs dimension favorable for the socio-economic development, national defense and security of the country. Party building work in the entire Party Committee also had outstanding highlights.

The Party Committee of the Ministry has proactively advised the Central Committee on major policies on the work of organizing and building the Party abroad in summarizing the work of building the Party for the 2020-2025 term, summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter, the Pilot Project on delegating power at the grassroots level to grassroots party organizations abroad, and submitting to the Secretariat for promulgation of Regulation 141-QD/TW dated March 4, 2024 on the work of inspection, supervision and discipline of the Party towards party organizations and party members abroad.

Strengthen inspection, supervision, and improve the quality of activities of Party organizations at home and abroad. Party building and rectification work is carried out systematically, in conjunction with resolutions and directives of the Central Committee.

Mass mobilization and mass work have been effectively implemented, strengthening the building of grassroots democracy regulations, promptly grasping the thoughts and aspirations of cadres, party members and the Vietnamese community abroad.

2024 is also the year with the largest number of party organizations and party members inspected and supervised in the 2020-2024 period. The quality of inspection and supervision work has been improved, contributing to preventing shortcomings and violations.

Speaking at the conference, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized that 2025 has a special significance as Vietnam aims to successfully achieve the goals of the 13th National Congress, preparing for the 14th National Congress of the Party. This is also the year to celebrate major events such as the 80th anniversary of National Day and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

Regarding the direction and key tasks for 2025, comrade Bui Thanh Son suggested that the Party Committee of the Ministry focus on three major contents:

Firstly , determined to implement Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently, the Party Executive Committee needs to proactively develop a project to establish a new Party Committee with new functions, tasks and supporting advisory agencies.

Second, successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels towards the 29th Party Congress according to the roadmap and plan of the Central Committee, ensuring progress, quality and building a team of Party committees with courage and capacity to lead and direct in the new period.

Third, organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Diplomatic sector; research, advise, and launch emulation campaigns within the Party to achieve achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the sector's establishment both domestically and internationally.

In addition, the Party Committee of the Ministry needs to continue to pay attention to political and ideological work, grasp the aspirations of Party members and cadres, especially in the period of unit arrangement and consolidation; educate the youth and young Party members about tradition and love for the profession...

At the end of the Conference, Comrade Bui Thanh Son affirmed his determination to lead Party committees, Party organizations, cadres and Party members to continue to unite and strive to excellently fulfill the tasks of 2025, actively contributing to the sustainable development and position of Vietnam in the international arena.

On this occasion, the Party Committee of the Ministry held a ceremony to award badges for 30 years, 40 years and 45 years of Party membership, and at the same time commend outstanding collectives and individuals in the fourth Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2024.
