Congress to establish Vietnam Hospital Pharmacists Association

The Vietnam Hospital Pharmacists Association was licensed by the Ministry of Home Affairs on June 5, 2025 under Decision No. 564/QD-BNV. This is a social-professional organization with members who are managers, scientists, experts, pharmacists, doctors, and health workers who voluntarily join with the aim of gathering, uniting, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of members, supporting each other in their professional activities; sharing experiences, improving professional qualifications and skills to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, contributing to the cause of caring for, protecting and improving people's health...

Representative of the Ministry of Home Affairs presented the decision to establish the Vietnam Hospital Pharmacists Association to Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Truyen, former Deputy Minister of Health , Head of the Campaign Committee to establish the Vietnam Hospital Pharmacists Association.

According to Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen, the establishment of the Vietnam Hospital Pharmacists Association is an important milestone in the development of hospital pharmacy and clinical pharmacy in our country. The Vietnam Hospital Pharmacists Association will be a common home for all pharmacists working in the field of hospital pharmacy and clinical pharmacy, supporting each other in developing their professional activities, cooperating with doctors to improve the quality of treatment and health care for the people.

At the first congress for the 2025-2030 term, the Vietnam Hospital Pharmacists Association approved the association's charter and operating directions; elected the executive committee, standing committee, inspection committee and leadership positions of the association. In particular, Dr. Cao Hung Thai, former Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health, was elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Hospital Pharmacists Association for the first term 2025-2030.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Hospital Pharmacists Association signed cooperation agreements with 14 units including leading universities, research institutes and pharmaceutical enterprises in Vietnam.
