In 2 days (May 15 and 16), the 14th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Nghi Son town, term 2024-2029, took place.

During the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels and member organizations of Nghi Son town have made efforts, responsibilities, actively innovated the content and methods of operation, successfully implemented 10 targets and 5 action programs set forth by the Resolution of the Town Fatherland Front Congress for the 2019-2024 term, contributing to building and consolidating the great national unity bloc.

Implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas (XDNTM) and civilized urban areas", the Front has chaired consultations and coordinated with member organizations to mobilize people to donate over 44,000 ^m2 of land, over 14,500 working days, and contribute over 37 billion VND to build infrastructure, contributing significantly to the completion of building communes that meet NTM standards and civilized urban wards according to the targets set out in the Resolution of the 26th Town Party Congress. The Fatherland Front at all levels has deployed the construction of 250 models of Self-managed Residential Areas, typically the models: "Bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe residential areas"; "Self-managed residential areas on environmental sanitation"; "Self-managed residential areas ensuring food hygiene and safety"; "Self-managed residential areas ensuring traffic safety"... Mobilizing people to install over 5,000 security and order surveillance cameras.

The Fatherland Front at all levels presided over, coordinated, and called for the establishment of the "For the Poor" Fund, which raised more than 10.4 billion VND to support the construction of 139 new houses and repair 83 Great Solidarity houses for poor households; support production development, support medical examination and treatment for serious illnesses, and help hundreds of poor students excel in their studies; visit and present gifts to thousands of people on holidays and Tet; visit, encourage, and provide relief to families affected by fires, natural disasters, and families with drowning victims... Promoting the people's right to mastery and participation in Party building and government building has become increasingly clearer in terms of organization and implementation methods; social supervision and criticism activities have been implemented with increasingly strict and effective processes.

The Congress also seriously reviewed and frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in the organization and operation methods of the Town Fatherland Front Committee for the 2019-2024 term; at the same time, it set out 3 general goals, 10 main targets, 2 breakthroughs and 6 action programs of the Town Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024-2029 term with key goals, tasks and specific solutions.

Speaking at the congress, comrades Trinh Xuan Phu, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghi Son town; Le Thi Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results achieved by the Fatherland Front at all levels of Nghi Son town; at the same time frankly pointed out the limitations in directing and organizing the implementation of the tasks of the Front in the past term.

Continue to perform well the role and functions of the Fatherland Front in the current period, mobilize people to actively participate in building the Party, building the government and the political system to become increasingly stronger. Effectively carry out the work of supervision and social criticism in the spirit of Directive 18 and regulations of the Party and State. Regularly coordinate closely with authorities at all levels to organize meetings with voters, dialogue, listen to people, create high consensus in society.

Innovate the content and methods of activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels in a direction that is close to the grassroots, practical and effective, building a truly solid, streamlined political alliance that operates effectively and efficiently. Continue to effectively implement Conclusion No. 610 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on continuing to implement Resolution No. 02 on innovating and improving the quality of activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the Congress democratically elected 72 members to join the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghi Son town, term XIV, 2024-2029. At the first meeting, the Fatherland Front Committee of the town, term XIV, elected 3 members to join the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of the town. Mr. Nguyen Van Long, member of the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee, was re-elected as Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of the town, term XIV, 2024-2029. The Congress also elected 11 members to attend the 15th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029.
