In recent years, with the attention, direction and support of the Central Government and the province, Phu Quy has made significant progress. That support does not only stop at mechanisms and policies but also "feelings and shared responsibility" for a special locality. In particular, with a solid socio -economic foundation that is being invested and perfected, Phu Quy has an extremely important resource, which is people. Phu Quy people inherently have a patriotic spirit, are industrious, hard-working, dynamic and creative, which is the endogenous strength for the island to break through.

At the Congress of the Phu Quy Special Zone Party Committee, highly appreciating the achieved results and at the same time pointing out strategic directions for Phu Quy in the new period, comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation emphasized: "The documents of the Phu Quy Special Zone Party Committee Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term need to continue to closely follow the new contents, especially the major viewpoints and orientations in the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party... more accurately and clearly reflect the characteristics and practical situation of the special zone, clearly defining the position, stature, role, potential, strengths... with the spirit of "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear products, clear results, clear roadmap". The resolution and action program to implement the resolution must determine what to do and how to do it to best exploit those potentials and advantages, promote socio-economic development. "The society and life of the islanders will develop faster, more effectively and sustainably, associated with firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland; after promulgation, it can be immediately organized and implemented."

The direction of the Provincial Party Secretary is an encouragement and a guideline, a high requirement for the Party Committee and the special zone government to turn goals into concrete actions. To realize the goals, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Phu Quy Special Zone Party Committee to focus on 5 key contents including: strengthening the organization, building solidarity, unifying the will; effectively exploiting the potential, advantages, developing the marine economy in association with protecting the Fatherland; improving the quality of administrative reform, digital transformation; building and rectifying the Party, preventing and fighting corruption; doing a good job of mass mobilization, promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc. These are the core orientations for Phu Quy to move forward steadily.

Turn resolutions into action

Immediately after the congress, the Phu Quy Special Zone Party Committee did not let the resolution remain on paper. With a spirit of urgency and determination, the special zone quickly issued an Action Program demonstrating its commitment to turning the goals into specific, measurable and evaluable tasks.

Accordingly, the action program of Phu Quy special economic zone has built a comprehensive roadmap, covering key areas. Notably, it focuses on two main economic pillars: developing the marine economy in a "green" and sustainable direction, associated with the effective exploitation of aquatic resources, building a unique seafood brand; at the same time, developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, with high-end resorts, entertainment, and large-scale event organization. The special economic zone has proactively called for investment, especially modern high-speed train projects, commercial centers, and tourism infrastructure, creating a strong driving force for development.

In addition, investment in completing socio-economic infrastructure is considered a solid foundation. Traffic, telecommunications, education and health facilities projects are prioritized for resources, not only serving the goal of economic development but also directly improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people. National defense and security work is identified as a regular task, closely combined with economic development, in which each boat and each fisherman is a "watch point" to firmly protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

In order to successfully implement the above goals and tasks, Phu Quy special zone has identified 3 decisive strategic breakthroughs. That is the breakthrough in human resources, placing people in the central position, Phu Quy special zone focuses on building a team of cadres and party members, especially leaders, with strong political will, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility.
