The project to upgrade and embellish the City Monument and renovate and expand March 29 Square is carried out in 2 phases with 3 sub-areas, with a total investment of more than 212 billion VND.

The project items include renovating the main monument, renewing the relief, and renovating. Building 2 rest houses, landscape architecture system, trees, lighting system around the Monument. The square parking area operator, artistic fountain floor, propaganda LED screen, underground water tank for watering plants, landscape, trees...

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh shared that over the past 30 years, the Memorial has gradually become one of the symbols of the city, a work that represents the fine tradition of remembering the source of water, paying tribute to the heroic martyrs of the nation, a symbol of the indomitable spirit, rich in revolutionary traditions of the heroic land of Quang Nam - Da Nang.

The project was implemented over 2 years with special attention and direction from the city's leaders. The project is the sentiment, responsibility and result of the efforts and spirit for the city's development of the Party Committee, Government, People and businesses of the city.

Also at the event, there was an art program with the theme "Love for the Country" performed by Trung Vuong Theater in Da Nang.
