Previously, through the emergency hotline 1900.1075, Hue City Police received a report that a person in Phu Duong commune was seriously ill, affecting his life and needed to be taken to the emergency room immediately. Meanwhile, the flood water was too high, it was dark and no means of people's vehicles could approach.

The person who was rescued was Mr. Le Van Mau (residing in Phu Duong commune). Mr. Mau had a serious heart condition and had a sudden attack. Surrounded by water on all sides, he could not go to the hospital.

Since the night of November 14, police units and localities across Thua Thien - Hue province have promptly brought many pregnant women, the elderly, children, and people with serious illnesses to hospitals for timely treatment; at the same time, they have helped people move people and property to safety. These 6 people rented a boat to cross the flood to return home in Kim Doi village (Quang Thanh commune, Quang Dien district). However, when passing by the Quang Thanh commune cultural house, they encountered strong currents and the boat capsized. Fortunately, the authorities responded quickly and rescued them in time.

On the same day, An Cuu Ward Police (Hue City) waded through the water and pushed a boat to bring a 90-year-old man living at 296 Phan Chu Trinh Street (Hue City) who was "trapped" in a flooded house to safety. In the morning, An Cuu Ward Police also assisted a pregnant woman who was in labor during the flood but her house was flooded to take her to a medical facility to give birth.

Huong Tra town police also coordinated with local people to promptly rescue a couple buried under rocks and soil in a landslide caused by floods in Binh Tien commune (Huong Tra town).

According to information from the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Thua Thien - Hue, in the past 6 hours (from 7:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.), there has been heavy rain in Thua Thien - Hue, some places have had very heavy rain. In the next 6 hours, in Thua Thien - Hue province, there will continue to be moderate rain, heavy rain, some places have had very heavy rain, with rainfall ranging from 40 - 80mm, some places over 100mm.

There is a very high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes, especially in Phong Dien, A Luoi, Nam Dong districts, Huong Tra town, Huong Thuy, Phu Loc, and Hue city. There is a high risk of prolonged flooding in urban areas and low-lying areas.
