On the evening of June 17, the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department (PC08) of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that the unit had just coordinated with local forces and youth union members to go to the streets and alleys to remove illegal advertising leaflets that defaced the streets.

With more than 250 officers, soldiers, and local forces, in just one morning, thousands of illegal advertisements and loan sharking were removed.

At the same time, the Traffic Police organized patrols in the area. Thereby, many cars were discovered with illegal advertisements. The advertisements were related to football betting and gambling organizations...

Specifically, at around 11:30 a.m. the same day, the Patrol Team, while on duty on Dinh Tien Hoang Street (District 1), discovered a PTH driver driving a car with an advertisement that exceeded the prescribed area. The Traffic Police drew up an administrative violation report and forced the driver to remove the illegal advertisement.

At 11:15, Ben Thanh Traffic Police Team and District 1 Traffic and Public Order Police Team discovered and handled a car driven by driver D.D. with an advertisement posted exceeding the prescribed area.

At the same time, the advertisement posted on the car was related to a website that operates gambling and betting. Due to the nature of the incident, the Working Group invited the driver to the Cau Kho Ward Police Station (District 1) for further verification and clarification. Initially, the Cau Kho Ward Police drew up an administrative violation record against driver DD and forced him to remove the illegal advertisement on the vehicle.

The above activities of the Traffic Police force are part of a series of high-profile activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Police to gradually eliminate gangs, black credit organizations, and organizations that take advantage of cyberspace to commit crimes.

Authorities join hands to remove illegal advertising

PC08 recommends that when people participating in traffic discover cases of cars with advertisements that violate regulations, advertising content that is of a gaming nature, online cards, or gambling nature, or that show signs of violating regulations, they should report it to PC08's hotline: 0693187521 or to the hotline: 02839203333.
