The Ministry of Construction has just issued Decision No. 777/QD-BXD on recognizing the area planned to establish a ward under Thanh Hoa urban area, Thanh Hoa province, meeting the standards of urban infrastructure development level of a ward belonging to a type I urban area.

Specifically, the area planned to establish Hoang Quang ward includes the entire administrative boundary of Hoang Quang commune, Thanh Hoa city; the area planned to establish Hoang Dai ward includes the entire administrative boundary of Hoang Dai commune, Thanh Hoa city; the area planned to establish Rung Thong ward includes the entire administrative boundary of Rung Thong town, Dong Son district; the area planned to establish Dong Thinh ward includes the entire administrative boundary of Dong Thinh commune, Dong Son district.

Previously, on August 5, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision No. 795/QD-TTg recognizing Thanh Hoa urban area, Thanh Hoa province as meeting the criteria of a type I urban area. Thanh Hoa urban area includes the entire administrative boundary of the existing Thanh Hoa city and the existing Dong Son district with a total natural area of ​​228.214 km ^2. This is an event of special significance, a milestone opening up a new vision, new opportunities, creating new positions and strengths for Thanh Hoa city to develop more strongly and comprehensively in the future.
