According to the Daily Mail, Man Utd have finalized a deal with Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko. Accordingly, Man Utd will pay the German club £74 million, including a £66.4 million transfer fee and £7.4 million in additional fees, in this deal. The above agreement also includes a clause that Man Utd will play friendly matches with Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena in the future.

The 22-year-old has arrived in Manchester for a medical ahead of his official unveiling at the end of the week. Sesko will earn £160,000 a week at Old Trafford, rising to £200,000 a week if the club qualify for the Champions League.
In fact, Man Utd made a less attractive offer than Newcastle in this deal, both in terms of transfer fee and Sesko's salary. However, the 22-year-old striker was eager to play for the Red Devils. That gave the Manchester club a big advantage.
According to Sky Germany, Sesko agreed to give up part of his salary (Newcastle paid more) to be able to move to Man Utd. In addition, his representative company, headed by Elvis Basanovic, also agreed to reduce commission, to promote the deal to go smoothly.
Sesko is considered one of the most promising young strikers in Europe. Since joining Leipzig from Salzburg in 2023, he has scored 39 goals and provided 8 assists in 87 appearances. Last season alone, Sesko scored 21 goals in all competitions for the German club.

Man Utd see Sesko as a strategic signing in the process of rebuilding the attack under coach Ruben Amorim. Previously, the team also recruited Matheus Cunha from Wolves for 62.5 million pounds and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford for a fee of 71 million pounds.
After missing out on targets such as Liam Delap (to Chelsea), Hugo Ekitike (to Liverpool) and Viktor Gyökeres (to Arsenal), Man Utd turned to Sesko, who had been on their radar for the past 6 years. This time, the Old Trafford team did not let the opportunity slip away.
Sesko is only 22 years old and has great potential to grow. Coach Amorim has high expectations for this tall striker (1.95m tall) to help the Red Devils improve in the future.
