According to PC07, every time Tet comes, fireworks have become an indispensable part of festival events, bringing a jubilant and joyful atmosphere.

However, fireworks also pose many risks of fire and explosion, threatening the safety of people's lives and property.

Ho Chi Minh City Police recommend that agencies, organizations and individuals who want to use fireworks must have civil act capacity according to the provisions of Decree No. 137/2020 on the management and use of fireworks.

Only use silent fireworks on holidays, New Year, birthdays, weddings, conferences... purchased from organizations and businesses licensed to produce and trade fireworks.

In particular, when using fireworks, it is necessary to strictly comply with regulations on fire prevention and fighting. Absolutely do not buy, sell or use "illegal" fireworks. Store fireworks in a safe location, away from fire and heat sources, covered, protected from impact and out of reach of children.

In addition, when lighting fireworks, people should choose appropriate locations for use, such as in open areas, free of flammable materials, far from residential areas, trees and structures that are flammable and explosive.

Before lighting, users should carefully check fireworks products to ensure there are no signs of damage, moisture or other dangerous elements.

When a fire occurs, quickly alert everyone around; use initial fire fighting equipment to extinguish the fire, and immediately call the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force via phone number 114 or use the HELP 114 application and organize rescue of people, property and prevent the spread of fire.

On the evening of January 24, people setting off fireworks on Le Van Tho Street, Go Vap District, caused a fire at a motorbike repair shop.
