Implementing the Prime Minister's direction, on the morning of April 21, in Ha Long City, the Provincial Police organized a ceremony to launch the emulation movement to learn from the brave sacrifice "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people" of Martyr, Major Nguyen Dang Khai, officer of the Drug Crime Prevention Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police. Attending the conference were comrade Vu Van Dien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Martyr, Major Nguyen Dang Khai heroically sacrificed his life while on duty, in a special project to destroy a drug trafficking ring with a large quantity of extremely serious nature, which occurred on the night of April 17, in Ha Long City. His heroic sacrifice is a clear testament to the bravery, loyalty and dedication of the People's Public Security soldiers "forgetting themselves for the country, serving the people".

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Colonel Tran Van Phuc, Party Secretary and Director of the Provincial Police, emphasized: The example and heroic sacrifice of Martyr, Major Nguyen Dang Khai demonstrates the spirit and bright will of the bravery, the determination to attack and suppress crime of the People's Public Security soldiers, for the peace and happiness of the people; further embellishing the glorious heroic tradition of the force, and becoming a source of motivation for officers and soldiers to compete to excellently complete all assigned tasks.

To effectively carry out the emulation movement to learn from the brave example of Martyr Nguyen Dang Khai in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister, the Director of the Provincial Police Department requested all units in the entire force to launch emulation movements within the unit; promote political and ideological education, uphold the sense of responsibility, and not be afraid of difficulties and hardships.

In the coming time, to effectively combat all types of crimes in the new situation, the Provincial Police Director requested the Provincial Police Departments and Commune-level Police to focus on firmly grasping and controlling the situation, promptly handling, and not being passive or surprised in any situation. At the same time, focus on promoting the movement of the entire people to protect national security; continue to expand, encourage, and promptly reward typical and advanced examples inside and outside the force, so that people understand, support, and help the police force in the process of performing their duties.

In order to promptly take practical actions to express gratitude for the heroic sacrifice of Martyr Nguyen Dang Khai, on this occasion, the Provincial Police, the Department of Investigation Police on Drug-related Crimes, the Department of Party and Political Affairs (Ministry of Public Security), the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Northeast Corporation, and Ha Long University donated funds to support the Martyr's family, with a total amount of nearly 1.7 billion VND. Of which, the Quang Ninh Provincial Police alone donated 1.46 billion VND, from the contributions of the police officers and soldiers in the entire province.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee sent a letter of commendation to the Quang Ninh Provincial Police and gave a bonus to the Special Task Force and the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (Provincial Police) for their outstanding achievements in the fight against crime.
