Xuan Dinh Ward has street name signs for Nguyen Huu Lieu and Doan Khue.

Xuan Dinh Ward is a developing ward with rapid urbanization, so the need for naming roads and streets of the people is very high and urgent. The unnamed roads have affected the communication and administrative transactions of the people such as: address, correspondence, production and business, security, rescue as well as information on population management records... In the face of these challenges, in recent years, the work of renaming streets in the ward has always achieved outstanding results, highly appreciated by the City, basically meeting the urgent needs of the people.

According to Decision No. 3862/QD-UBND dated July 20, 2025 of the Hanoi People's Committee on naming, renaming, and adjusting the length of a number of roads, streets and public works in Hanoi in 2025, Xuan Dinh ward was agreed to name two streets: Nguyen Huu Lieu and Doan Khue.

The two streets are named after the ancestors Nguyen Huu Lieu and Doan Khue, who made many contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in many different historical periods. Among them, Mr. Nguyen Huu Lieu (1532-1597) was a famous general during the Le Dynasty. He was from Tay Dam village, now Tay Tuu ward. Mr. Doan Khue (1813-1878) was a mandarin during the Nguyen Dynasty. His given name was Bao Quang, and he was from Ngoai Lang village, now Thu Tri commune, Hung Yen province. Mr. Doan Khue was considered one of the few progressive mandarins during the Nguyen Dynasty.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuan Dinh Ward Bui Thi Lan Phuong said that up to now, Xuan Dinh Ward has 17 roads and streets named by the People's Council - People's Committee of the City. The named roads and streets all have traditional educational significance, historical value, and profound cultural value. This is also a result that demonstrates the entire process of urbanization, urban infrastructure development, as well as socio -economic development in Xuan Dinh Ward.

In addition to the positive results achieved, the work of renaming streets in the ward still has some difficulties and problems such as: There is still a phenomenon of people arbitrarily putting up street name signs, causing misunderstandings, negative reactions, and inadequacies in the management work. Or the Management Board of some urban areas is still slow to hand over the roads that have been used stably, fully meeting the technical infrastructure requirements for the locality to review and propose street names; Or there are still many roads with unsynchronized technical infrastructure, not ensuring the criteria for proposing naming...

In order to effectively carry out the work of renaming streets in the ward in the coming time, comrade Bui Thi Lan Phuong suggested that the departments, offices, and specialized agencies of the ward and residential groups organize well the information and propaganda activities on the content and significance of renaming streets for the 02 streets that were named by the City People's Council - People's Committee in 2025. At the same time, continue to inspect, review, and propose renaming streets in the ward according to regulations to meet the legitimate needs of the people; Promote investment in upgrading and beautifying streets, and implement civilized urban lifestyles on named streets in the ward.

Nguyen Huu Lieu Street (Xuan Dinh Ward): from the intersection of the road connecting to Do Nhuan Street at SunGroup Hospital Building, opposite the gate of Hoa Binh Park, to the intersection of the internal road of the Diplomatic Corps at Westlink International School. Nguyen Huu Lieu Street is 1,500m long and 15.5m wide (roadway 7.5m wide, sidewalks on each side 4m wide).

Doan Khue Street (Xuan Dinh Ward): from the intersection of Hoang Minh Thao Street at N01-T2 apartment building in the Diplomatic Corps area to the intersection of Nguyen Xuan Khoat Street. Doan Khue Street is 500m long; 21.25m wide (roadway 11.25m, sidewalks on each side 5m).
