Con Dao in top 5 most attractive new destinations in the world

British magazine Time Out has just announced a list of 24 pristine, new, less crowded but most attractive destinations in the world for tourists, in which Con Dao ranked 4th.

“Overtourism,” an increasingly common term for the world’s most popular destinations, is a problem that affects almost every aspect of local life, from the environment to the cost of housing, transportation and food. Overtourism not only affects the lives of local residents, but also reduces the quality of visitors’ vacations. As a result, destinations like Italy and Japan are looking to redistribute tourism , moving visitors from crowded hotspots to less-visited but less expensive and equally good areas. For these reasons, Time Out has selected 24 less crowded, pristine and attractive destinations to replace the overcrowded ones. Among them, Con Dao of Vietnam is ranked 4th in the most attractive list. Time Out commented: Vietnam has many famous tourist routes and destinations known to many tourists, but only about 1 hour flight from Ho Chi Minh City is an archipelago with a wild and captivating beauty. Con Dao is located off the coast of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where there is also Con Dao National Park, always covered in a green color of nature. "One of my favorite places is the deserted sands of Hon Bay Canh, which is a conservation area for sea turtles to lay their eggs," said Grace Beard, travel editor of Time Out . She also suggests that visitors experience walking under the canopy of ancient trees in Ong Dung primeval forest, or hiking on the picturesque path to the top of Thanh Gia mountain.
