The exhibition “80 years of the journey of Independence-Freedom-Happiness” will take place from August 28 to September 5 at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ) and will provide a panoramic picture of the most outstanding achievements in all fields of the country.

This is an activity of special significance, honoring history, introducing the outstanding achievements of the Party, State and People in the process of protecting, building and developing the country over the past 80 years; affirming the leadership role of the Party, the management of the State, the consensus, creativity and efforts of the entire nation in the cause of building and developing the country. This is also an opportunity to promote the image of a dynamic and innovative Vietnam to all classes of people and the international community.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to be the standing agency of the Steering Committee for the Project on Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee.

In terms of content, the Exhibition will display and introduce the country's outstanding achievements in 80 years of construction and development in key areas such as industry-technology; investment-trade; agriculture -rural areas; security-defense; foreign affairs; health, education; culture, sports and tourism, specifically introducing Vietnamese culture - country - people with a 4,000-year cultural tradition; the rich cultural diversity of 54 ethnic groups; the richness of resources, products of the three regions and outstanding architectural works past and present across the country; green industries and the journey of green transformation, digital transformation of Vietnam; Vietnam's aviation and aerospace industry; Vietnam's security-defense industry; space of 12 Vietnamese cultural industries.

According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, the multi-layer digital map of 34 new provinces and cities of Vietnam is a new technology product introduced to the public at this Exhibition to spread the positive results of the revolution of streamlining and streamlining the local government apparatus at all levels that our Party and State have just successfully implemented.

In particular, the nation's 80-year journey of "Independence-Freedom-Happiness" was recorded through many precious moments, which are photos and video clips recorded by people across the country, submitted to the contest and won prizes in the annual "Happy Vietnam" Award organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The exhibition is open to the public from 9am to 10pm every day. The indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces are logically arranged on an area of nearly 260,000m2, according to major content areas such as: General exhibition area; green economic zone, clean energy and green industries; aviation and space industry zone; security-defense industry zone; 12 cultural industry zones.

In addition to traditional images and artifacts, the Exhibition also introduces creative design ideas, reflecting the breath of the times, associated with the trend of digital transformation, digital culture, green development, helping to convey content in a more intuitive, vivid and accessible way, especially for young people.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition is scheduled to take place at 9am on August 28 at the National Exhibition Center. The exhibition opening ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam. About 6,000 delegates are expected to attend.

The closing ceremony of the exhibition is scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m. on September 5 at the National Exhibition Center. The exhibition closing ceremony will also be broadcast live on the Voice of Vietnam and Vietnam Television.

In addition to the main activities, many activities will take place before and after the Exhibition, such as: Music program "8Wonder Co Loa" (8:00 p.m., August 23); "That's my Vietnam" running race (August 24); Art program "Words of the heart of Vietnam" (8:00 p.m., August 26); Art program "Hanoi - Forever Vietnam's aspiration" (August 31); Art program chaired by the People's Committee of Hue City (September 2); "Forum "Application of artificial intelligence AI in the digital age" (August 29); Workshop "The role of data in the digital age" (August 29) ...

On the sidelines of the Exhibition, art troupes from Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Da Nang... will perform for the audience on the outdoor stage, creating a lively space and diverse experiences for visitors.


In order to attract a large number of visitors, especially domestic and international tourists, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has issued a document requesting travel businesses to proactively develop, introduce and offer tour products to visit the Exhibition.

According to Deputy Director Ha Van Sieu, this is an opportunity for the tourism industry to connect with major cultural events, thereby promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam through a unique tourism product imbued with history and culture.

To better serve the travel needs of residents and tourists, the Hanoi Public Transport Management and Operation Center said it will add 20 more bus routes from all directions to the Exhibition Center, including the route from Noi Bai Airport.

In addition to the two existing fixed routes (No. 43 and E10), there will be 18 additional routes with about 70 vehicles, nearly 900 trips/day. The vehicles will have a sub-sign “Vietnam Exhibition Center” for easy identification./.
