Then we will move towards exploiting new-generation AI platforms (such as generative AI and modern embedded graph technologies,...) to apply to the learning, teaching, assessment, student experience and other activities."

Commenting on the application of AI at universities today, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Quynh said: “This activity takes place in a variety of ways and at different levels depending on each school. However, most of it is on the scale of small research groups and has not been clearly demonstrated on the overall scale at universities.”

As a pioneer university in the AI ​​University model, according to Associate Professor Quynh, CMC University needs to identify priorities in implementing this model, based on feasibility in terms of technology, engineering and funding. According to him, the next step is to update AI technology into the existing training program, build a question bank, apply AI tools to lecture development and personalize learning experiences, and analyze big data to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Quynh also said that AI has now developed to a high level, new generation AI platforms such as generative AI and modern embedded graph technologies, etc. have been born and many tools have been published as open source for exploitation and use. In addition, CMC University under CMC Group with outstanding technological capacity and advantages in financial resources, human resources, data and digital infrastructure such as data center, cloud computing, blockchain, etc. will create advantages in the process of applying AI to training, management and operation.

Also at the event, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of CMC Group, Chairman of CMC University Council affirmed: “AI University does not only mean that CMC University trains AI technology but also applies all the advantages of AI in all school activities. This is a long process and needs to start with changing everyone's awareness”.

Previously, on July 22, 2024, CMC University officially announced the implementation of the AI ​​University training model, committing to applying technology and AI to operations, teaching, and enhancing student experience. In the first phase, CMC will focus on investing in technology infrastructure and solutions using the Group's own technological capabilities as well as through cooperation with major CMC partners such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Intel, and Synopsys.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Quynh has worked for many years as Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Electricity; Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, concurrently Director of the Information Technology Center, University of Water Resources. He has presided over the construction of 6 software systems applied in practice for universities and enterprises, and has presided over many scientific research projects, including 1 project of the National Science and Technology Fund Nafosted, 4 projects at the Ministry level, and 2 projects at the Vietnam Electricity Group level. He is also the head of the research group "Machine learning and intelligent control techniques - MLIC", and is the main author of dozens of SCIE international articles and Rank A international conferences.
