On September 12, many students of Hanoi Primary School, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi continued to be "busy" by making sesame salt, roasting peanuts, roasting sesame, pounding peanuts, mixing salt, bottling... then writing small, pretty cards to send to students and people in flooded areas.

After completing the process of making sesame salt, Nguyen Tri Quang, a student of class 2A2, wrote a card and stuck it on each jar of sesame salt with the message: "I wish those in need good health, peace and safety. If you need help, let me help. Keep it up, uncles and aunts!"

Tri said he and his friends made many jars of sesame salt to give to people in flooded areas because it was "very difficult for the children there to find food, and it was very dangerous outside".

"We don't have much money or energy like adults, but our love for our fellow countrymen is not small. These sesame salt jars contain our hope. Enjoy your meal," a student sent a message.

Le Nguyen Chuc An, class 4A2, sent a message: "We want to send a little sesame to help everyone. I hope this little bit of love will warm everyone's hearts."

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong, principal of Hanoi Primary School, said that in recent days the school has been very lucky that its students have been able to go to school, while many schools have been severely affected by storms and floods.

According to Ms. Huong, when seeing on social networks, people continuously sharing information, calling for support of buoys, each bread, instant noodle package, water bottle for flood areas, on the morning of September 9, during the flag salute period, the school launched and implemented volunteer activities for students to contribute a little effort to support people in the highlands.

On September 10, the school board launched the first activity, sending about 200 sandwiches with handwritten cards from the students by bus to children and people in flooded areas in Thai Nguyen and Yen Bai.

On September 12, the school implemented the activity of making about 200 jars of sesame salt, continuing to send them to people affected by floods in Yen Bai.

"When I read the cards written by the students, I was very surprised and touched. The wishes were very innocent and naive but full of the children's love and concern for the people in the flooded areas. I think this activity has achieved meaningful goals, helping the children understand the spirit of mutual love and responsibility to the community," said Ms. Huong.

Ms. Huong added that the school is launching the third phase, calling on teachers, school administrators, parents, and students to donate money within their means, to join hands to support and help people affected by storm No. 3, so that people can quickly return to normal life.
