Reporting on the preparations for the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly, Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong said that the total working time of the National Assembly is expected to be 22.5 days; opening on October 23, 2023 and expected to close on the morning of November 29, 2023. The National Assembly will meet at the National Assembly House. The session will be held in 2 phases. Phase 1 is 15 days: from October 23 to November 10, 2023. Phase 2 is 7.5 days: from November 20 to the morning of November 29, 2023.
The National Assembly is expected to consider and pass 9 draft laws, 2 resolutions, give initial opinions on 8 draft laws; consider socio-economic issues, the state budget; conduct supreme supervision; question and answer questions. In particular, the National Assembly will conduct a vote of confidence for those holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly; and decide on a number of other important issues.

Regarding the detailed agenda, based on the study of comments, the Secretary General of the National Assembly has planned to absorb and adjust the order, timing, and duration of consideration of some contents accordingly. In particular, reports on the results of the review of the system of legal documents as required in Resolution No. 101/2023/QH15 will not be presented, but only the National Assembly will be arranged to discuss this content along with socio-economic contents; the National Assembly will be arranged to discuss separately in groups the draft Law on Social Insurance (amended)...
Regarding the expected content of the 6th Session, implementing the conclusion of the National Assembly Standing Committee, accepting the opinions of the Government and a number of agencies, the Secretary General of the National Assembly proposed to adjust the expected content as follows: Supplementing the submission to the National Assembly for consideration and approval of the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of mechanisms and policies to remove obstacles stipulated in a number of laws related to investment in the construction of road traffic works.
In addition, add 3 reports of the Government (sent to National Assembly deputies for self-study) on: Roadmap to shorten the process and time for annual state budget settlement; implementation status of Resolution No. 66/2013/QH13 on adjusting a number of contents and solutions to continue effectively implementing the investment policy to build Ho Chi Minh road according to Resolution No. 38/2004/QH11; progress of submitting to the National Assembly for consideration and ratification of the document of accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) of the United Kingdom.
The adjustment of some contents of Resolution No. 53/2017/QH14 of the National Assembly on the Feasibility Study Report of the Land Reclamation, Compensation, Support and Resettlement Project of Long Thanh International Airport is shown in the General Resolution of the Session (no separate Resolution is issued).
Regarding the preparation of meeting documents, Secretary General of the National Assembly Bui Van Cuong said that recently, relevant agencies have actively and proactively coordinated closely to prepare the required contents to submit to the National Assembly in time. Up to this point, the contents of the meeting have been reviewed and commented on by the National Assembly Standing Committee.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization Bui Tuan Quang agreed with the program of the 6th Session; saying that the program was reasonable, scientific and arranged to have a day off on Saturday so that delegates would have more time to study documents.

Regarding the content, Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization Bui Tuan Quang said that through monitoring, people are very interested in the content of the questioning and answering activities. Through recent terms, the questioning and answering activities have ensured time, answered clearly, quickly, concisely, and ensured quality, so we believe that this monitoring activity will become increasingly high quality and effective. Also according to Mr. Bui Tuan Quang, people are very interested in organizing the vote of confidence. This is a form of direct democracy and hope that the organization of the vote will be substantial and ensure results.
