The firing point at the Ngo Mon Flag Tower in Hue City is the point where 1,000 high-altitude fireworks will be fired at the moment of New Year's Eve. Therefore, in order to complete all preparations, nearly 30 officers, soldiers and militia forces of Hue City were mobilized to carry out the preparation work. Although the weather conditions on the days before Tet were not favorable, the forces did not mind the difficulties and worked hard to urgently carry out the stages from arranging and setting up the artillery arrays, checking the food bars, control panels, power sources to arranging and setting up the positions and firing times, all of which were carried out strictly, meticulously and thoughtfully.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Duc - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Hue City Military Command said: To successfully complete the fireworks display task, officers and soldiers have determined not to be afraid of difficulties, hardships, or weather conditions. 100% of officers and soldiers are ready to carry out all preparations. We will also work day and night with the highest spirit and we are determined to complete all preparations on the afternoon of the 30th of Tet.

In the Spring of Giap Thin 2024, Thua Thien Hue province will organize high-altitude fireworks displays at 3 locations at the moment of New Year's Eve. In addition to the Ky Dai and Ngo Mon locations, which will display 1,000 fireworks, Quang Dien and Phu Vang districts will each display 500 fireworks within 15 minutes. The Provincial Military Command has also been assigned by the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province to preside over all 3 display locations.

Determining this as an important political task, from the 28th of Tet, artillery vehicles were gathered at the firing points. By noon on the 30th of Tet, preparations for the fireworks display in the localities had basically been completed. The fireworks displays had been gathered in safe locations. The firing controllers, electric poles, wiring systems and electric poles had been carefully and thoughtfully connected and checked by technicians. 2,000 fireworks at 3 locations had been put into the gun barrels, all ready for the New Year's Eve moment tonight.
