Under the chairmanship of comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, this afternoon (January 6), the Provincial People's Committee organized the awarding of the investment registration certificate for the WHA 2 Industrial Park project to the leaders of WHA Group (Thailand).

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh awarded the investment registration certificate for the WHA Industrial Zone 2 - Nghe An Industrial Park project with a total area of over 183 hectares and a total investment of 50 million USD.

Speaking at the ceremony to award the investment certificate, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh sent his best wishes to the Chairwoman and WHA Group on the occasion of the New Year 2025; At the same time, he highly appreciated the contributions of WHA Group to Nghe An province in recent years.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh also shared about the socio-economic results and achievements of Nghe An in 2024, with bright spots being growth rate, budget revenue, and exports. In particular, FDI attraction for the first time reached 1.75 billion USD - ranking 8th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. These results have important contributions from local enterprises, including WHA Group. The success of the WHA 1 Industrial Park project has created confidence for the Government as well as Nghe An province to approve and grant the investment policy for the WHA 2 Industrial Park project.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh believes that the Group will implement the WHA 2 Industrial Park project ahead of schedule, to help Nghe An continue to attract investment projects to the area. The province is committed to quickly implementing site clearance and infrastructure outside the fence to meet the requirements of the WHA Group.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh hopes that the cooperation between the two sides will not stop at the WHA 2 Industrial Park project, but that WHA Group will continue to expand and invest in other industrial park infrastructure projects. Because at this time, Nghe An's traffic infrastructure has many advantages, connecting quite synchronously with the national traffic infrastructure. These are conditions for WHA Group to be more favorable in attracting secondary investors to industrial parks in Nghe An.

On this occasion, the leaders of WHA Group presented the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board with 300 million VND to build 6 gratitude houses; supported Nghi Loc district with 400 Tet gifts worth 200 million VND to give to poor households on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
