At the family of comrade Vo Chi Cong (Uncle Nam Cong) in Thao Dien ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung kindly visited Mrs. Vo Thi Nghia (87 years old) - the eldest daughter of Uncle Nam Cong. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung burned incense to express his respect and commemorate the great contributions of Uncle Nam Cong, especially on the battlefield of Zone 5 and the people of Quang Nam in particular.
Comrade Vo Chi Cong (1912 - 2011), former provisional Secretary of the Quang Nam - Da Nang Provincial Party Committee (March 1940 - October 1940); held the position of Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee from August 1942 - October 1943 and from 1951 - March 1952; then held the position of Secretary of the Quang Nam - Da Nang Provincial Party Committee from March 1952 - 1953.
Uncle Nam Cong - an outstanding son of his hometown Tam Xuan, Nui Thanh also held many important positions in the state apparatus such as Chairman of the State Council (1987 - 1992), Vice Chairman of the Council of Ministers (1986 - 1987), Standing member of the Secretariat (1982 - 1986) and many other important positions.
In Ward 10, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung visited the family of Comrade Vo Minh (Vo Cong Minh), whose hometown is in Tam Hai island commune, Nui Thanh. Comrade Vo Cong Minh used to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.
Mr. Vo Cong Nga (75 years old) - the youngest son of comrade Vo Cong Minh thanked the leaders of Quang Nam province for their concern and said he was always proud of his father as the third person to assume the responsibility of Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee during the period 1930 - 1948.
Visiting the families, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung conveyed the sentiments of the Party Committee, government and people of the province to the relatives of the predecessors; sent wishes for good health and expectations for the continuation of today's and future generations, so as not to disappoint the predecessors who laid down their lives for independence and peace for the homeland of Quang Nam - Da Nang in particular and Vietnam in general.
