Chairman of Cu Jut District People's Committee dialogues with farmers

More than 90 delegates, including officials, typical farmers, representatives of cooperatives, cooperative groups, and typical professional associations in the district, attended the conference.

At the conference, farmers had many opinions and recommendations revolving around the issues: supporting, promoting consumption linkage, finding and expanding output markets for agricultural products; solutions to stabilize prices of agricultural materials; solutions to stabilize agricultural product prices to encourage and promote production.

Farmers' Association members recommend that authorities strengthen inspection, handling, and prevention of the production and trading of counterfeit and poor-quality goods for agricultural materials; issues of orientation for converting crop and livestock production...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tu, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Committee acknowledged the recommendations and proposals of farmers. At the same time, he suggested that specialized departments should study and advise on agricultural development orientations, especially building and replicating ecological agricultural models and agricultural tourism; improving the level of application of science and technology in the production process; paying attention to guiding and supporting farmers in building brands, promoting and consuming agricultural products.
