Kinhtedothi - On December 18, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan visited and congratulated the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) in Hang Bong ward, Hoan Kiem district on the occasion of Christmas 2024.

At the conversation with Pastor Bui Van San - President of the Vietnam Evangelical Church (North), Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan informed about the results of implementing the socio-economic development tasks of Hanoi in 2024. Accordingly, 2024 is a year of "acceleration" and "breakthrough", which is of great significance in successfully implementing the goals and targets of the Resolution of the City People's Council on the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the period 2021-2025.

In the context of many difficulties and challenges of the complicated world political and economic situation, the city and the whole country have focused on implementing political tasks, developing socio-economy, ensuring national security and defense and achieved many important results: the economy continues to grow, the city is expected to basically complete 23/24 socio-economic targets; GRDP growth is expected to increase by 6.52%; budget revenue is estimated at 492,309 billion VND, reaching 120.5% of the estimate (up 19.6% over the same period). Economic sectors and fields have grown steadily; social security is ensured; political security, social order and safety in the area are maintained.

Along with the task of socio-economic development, 2024 is also the year the city focuses on completing many important and strategic tasks to perfect institutions and policies, creating a new development space with a long-term vision for the development of the capital.

In addition, the city is always the leading locality in taking care of the lives of the people and families of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services, and people in difficult circumstances. "To achieve the above achievements, there are contributions and cooperation of dignitaries and followers of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) in the city" - Chairman of the City People's Council said.

Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan said that in 2024, the legitimate religious needs of the Vietnam Evangelical Church (North) will be given attention and facilitated by the city's agencies, promptly resolved, such as: establishing a affiliated religious organization (Vang Da Evangelical Church), inviting foreign dignitaries to teach the Bible at the Hanoi Bible and Theological Seminary, and organizing the 2024 Christmas celebration with the Protestant community in Hanoi at Yen So Park with the participation of more than 7,000 people....

Recognizing and praising the contributions of Protestant believers in preserving and promoting the tradition of patriotism, accompanying the nation, with the common spirit of "living the Gospel, serving God, serving the Fatherland and the Nation"; uniting and unifying with the people of the capital and the people of the whole country to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; actively responding to and participating in patriotic emulation movements... contributing to the stability and economic - cultural - social development of the capital, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan expressed his belief that in the coming time, pastors, dignitaries, officials, and Protestant believers will continue to further promote the tradition of: respecting God, loving the country, sticking together with the nation, joining hands and wholeheartedly building the capital to be more and more civilized, prosperous, beautiful, orderly and disciplined; building a prosperous and developed Vietnam, for the goal of "Rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization".

Pastor Bui Van San - President of the Vietnam Evangelical Church (North) expressed his deep gratitude for the attention of the city leaders to the Association and Protestant believers, and church members. Over the past time, church members have always been given stable conditions for religious activities.

Delighted with the development of the country and the capital, Pastor Bui Van San said that with these achievements, the church members and believers will also benefit.
