Proactively adapt to modern manufacturing environments

At Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd., Quang Ninh Branch - a Japanese enterprise specializing in manufacturing automotive electrical wires with highly automated production lines, Ms. Do Thanh Hoa (35 years old), a worker in the MAE department, is one of the typical faces.

Ms. Hoa said: “I work in the first stage of the production line. Machine operations require a firm grasp of operating principles and timely handling of errors. Although many stages have been automated, concentration and precise manual operations are still required.” Not only does Ms. Hoa complete her professional tasks well, she also spends time outside of class studying Japanese to communicate with experts and access new technology. “Workers must always learn, otherwise they will be eliminated,” Ms. Hoa shared.

At the Boiler Workshop, Hai Ha Industrial Park Vietnam Co., Ltd., Mr. To Hai Nam (28 years old) is also a shining example. After 8 years working at the job, Mr. Nam has always been proactive in learning and improving his skills to master the modern production line. Mr. Nam said: "The production system is now largely automated. I have to continuously learn more knowledge that I have not received formal training, combined with practical experience to ensure operational efficiency."

Not only did he learn, he also proposed technical improvements, notably the initiative to increase the efficiency of the boiler system, helping to increase production by 5%. In addition, Mr. Nam actively participated in training courses on fire prevention and fighting and always strictly followed labor regulations.

In reality, under the impact of the new industrial revolution, workers must proactively change their thinking, learn technology and continuously innovate. Young workers like Ms. Hoa and Mr. Nam are becoming typical models; constantly adapting, creating and contributing in a high-tech production environment.

According to data from the Provincial Federation of Labor, in 2024, the province had more than 4,600 initiatives and technical improvements proposed and applied by workers, civil servants, and laborers, bringing in a value of over 56 billion VND, mostly from the direct labor force in factories and enterprises. Ms. Dang Thi Kim Chung, Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said: “In the face of the trend of globalization and digital transformation, workers, especially young workers, need to proactively learn and improve their skills, especially in the field of technology. When mastering skills and technology, workers will truly become global citizens.”

Reality has proven that workers are no longer just the force that carries out production, but have been playing a role in creating new values, contributing to promoting productivity and economic development. In the modern environment, they are the ones who directly access technology, propose improvements and ensure safe and efficient operations.

The 4.0 industrial revolution is opening up both opportunities and challenges. With a progressive spirit, proactive learning and innovative thinking, the young workforce in Quang Ninh province is showing strong adaptability. They are the key force helping businesses improve productivity and quality, while affirming the central role of workers in the digital age.
